Ronan is the main villain of Guardians of the Galaxy film.
Agent Coulson, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage are not obscure. Coulson was a recurring character in the Phrase 1 movies and is the co-lead of Agents of Shield tv show. Jessica Jones and Luke Cage both have popular shows on netflix. The rumor is that the roster will be heavily MCU so those characters are more likely then any Marvel character you do know to make it in.
I don’t see Coulson getting in since his moveset would be rather weak. I can’t see him bringing anything unique to the table that another addition wouldn’t just outdo. Luke and Jessica are likely though(Luke moreso than Jessica). Basically, if they had their own tv show/movie and they have unique enough abilities, it’s safe to expect them on the roster for this game.
And I guess I’m done with the “Marvel vs Fox” ranting, since the word “conceive” is getting misinterpreted and Marvel Entertainment’s CEO is the answer to everything (even though he’s also fed up with Marvel Studios and wants nothing to do with the movies, which have a huge influence on the cast of this game but w/e)
You need to watch some movies & shows then, the MCU IS Marvel to the majority of people now. Hell, Luke Cage wasn’t even obscure before he got a show he’s been a prominent character for years.
A potential Thunderbolts movie says ‘Hi’. :^)
I think Nico Minorou or Molly from the Runaways are likely this time around too. With the presumably MCU Runaways show coming, I think Marvel will begin to push that team & those two are the ones I see Capcom gravitating towards. Molly is an unusual character which I can see Capcom really liking, but she doesn’t have the best moveset potential. Meanwhile, Nico could have an awesome moveset, is essentially the main character of the Runaways & is Japanese which Capcom would also like.
Marvel’s CEO has been the root of many of the problems the company has. Kevin Fiege broke Marvel Studios away from Marvel Entertainment was because he was difficult to work with. Ike is also the source why actors and directors were disgruntled with the studio.
No, you just don’t know much on the topic, just admit you were wrong.
And yes the CEO is the answer, because Ike Perlmutter was the one that ordered the ban on X-Men and F4 merchandise and the exclusion of the X-Men and F4 in many of of the recent Marvel video games.
Exactly! And he very much would like to still have a hand in the movies, it’s just that there’s nothing he can do on about it.
I’m confident he has close to no direct influence on this game. I mean, think about it. Wouldn’t selling X-Men as dlc be EXACTLY what Ike doesn’t want? When they’re dlc, they’re effectively “merchandise”. You’re reading too much into the fact that he’s CEO. In a company that big, the CEO doesn’t hold all the reigns.
The X-Men and F4 exclusions in recent games leading up to MvCI was ordered by him, so yes he does have that sort of influence.
And again, just admit you don’t know. Because all of this has been reported in several articles. Including the fact that there be no posters with the X-Men or F4 at Marvel HQ.
The only reason I can see Ike softening on the X-Men ban is Marvel TV co-producing two X-Men tv shows with Fox. Legion is coming next month and the other show is still in development.
Again, I said this game. What may or may not have happened with other games is irrelevant considering X-Men are looking to be in this one. If you’re going to call me ignorant, read what I post first.
There’s rumors of Ike working for Trump, so maybe Ike won’t have time to worry about shit like the X-Men & Fantastic Four making money for his company lmao.
I did and you’re incorrect. Also remember that this game started development in 2014/2015 according to the devs.
Point is that Ike Perlmutter has not been handling the situation well, which is why people had no problem believing the rumor that the X-Men might be excluded from Infinity.
That and because Tom Rothman no longer works at FOX.
If the rumors are true, it could be why he might have relented and let the X-Men in as DLC. Again, if they truly aren’t in the base game.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the X-Men might make it in, even if in limited numbers. But recent history has also given us reason to be concerned and consider the possibility that they might not be in or they might be relegated to DLC.
Either way, we’ll find out once more characters are revealed.
