Music Mods for SF4 - Please add your work with youtube examples

As per the requests, I have uploaded the music.

It works well, all things considered, but isn’t very short, so you wanna spend a couple minutes listening to it if you really want to enjoy it.

Guess this only works for the PC version, eh? I’m on 360, so unless I want to just have random stuff play whenever I’m stuck with the stock music. Yay.

Yes only for pc, one reason why I try on xbox but i buy on pc :)!

In another note : New CSB packer version 1.1 beta!

Goshanes has another new version of the csb packer version 1.1 and it can now work with a lot more files ;)!

It is now possible to mod a lot of new things, go check the first post for more specifics! (first post just updated with 1.1 csb packer tools from Goshanes!)

To everyone:

Encoding with ADXutil may cause problems. It is a very handy tool, but it seems to encode the audio differently, because in-game the music stops suddenly or increases volume. Yesterday this happened to me, when I was replacing the Old Temple stage music. I don’t know what’s causing it, so just use adxencd.exe instead.

thanks.

err… i’m new in the forum and i’ve already done a stupid thing.

i lost the original file from african theme after replaced with the old guile version.
so can anyone upload the original for me ?

i have buyed the game from steam so i can’t take from the dvd and i don’t want recheck my folder with steam client cause i could lost all the game data.

I love the piano part in sec 30 ^^

hey guys, I didn’t even realize this thread was here, so a lot of your great work had been left off of the sf4mods wiki until now. I added most of the info from the first post (I put the tool download links on the ‘music mods’ page and the instructions on the ‘tutorials’ page), but I might have missed something important, so feel free to PM me if I’ve left anything out.

this was back from page 2 of this thread, has anybody figured out an answer to this?

You can change anything with the csb extension using version 1.1 of the CSB packer. See first page of thread.

Random music is not possible. Someone has to change the game code to make this happen.

Thanks for the prompt answer! This is what I have so far.

After unpacking Game\Sound\BGM_SELVS1.csb I got:
000.Synth_BLANK_aif (this is nothing, a blank)
001.Synth_s_bgm_4e_wav (contains 2 parts, 2nd part is looped, character selection screen music)
002.Synth_s_bgm_4f_wav (versus loading screen music)
003.Synth_s_bgm_54_wav (forgot where this shows up in the game, but it consists of three notes and sounds like failure)

They’re all AAX files, so I converted them to ADX, and then to WAV files so I could listen and determine what they were. I then converted my custom files to AAX and replaced the corresponding original, but how do you repack the AAX files back into csb?. In the old CSB packer there was a Create CSB button and it was self explanatory, but I cannot find the option in the 1.1 CSB Packer.

Edit -> Replace Content with … :
Then select all AAX archives you want to repack. Should be the same number as the extracted files. The program adds them in alphabetical order (that’s why I made it to add numbers to filename).

Thank you! Splendid program! :lovin:

Thanks i’ll check up the wiki later on, thanks for letting me know!

Just checked seems good, opnly missing tutorial 2 and 3. Turoial you have there is great if you want one song to play during the whole match tutotial 2 teaches you how to edit the menu music and tutorial 3 how to cut your song properly so the tempo changes during the fight. Otherwise nice wikie :)!

might want to add this piece in there for the menu music (alternative SF4 intro music)

Here you go,

You’ll need to rename the file to BGM_VCN.csb if you want it for the Volcano stage. Then just put it in the SF4/Battle/System folder.

I really like this music too, I just wish it was a bit longer.
