Which kind of CSB is it? Is it the 4 slot Menu music kind? Or can I use a stage CSB that has 6?
I would use latest 1.01 version.
It’s a 4 slot, just like the other BGM files that aren’t stage music. The packer won’t let you change it directly, so make it for one of the other .csb files and rename it.
Uploaded the arcade main menu bgm version as a replacement for the main menu indestructable theme…

Enjoy !
Thanks didn t here that theme before :)!
Cool. Thanks man. About to try it later today. If it works and everything, I might as well post the other ones I’ve made. This thread is pretty quiet so far.
What I ended up doing was using Audacity to reduce the speed of my mp3 by 9% and saved it (I couldn’t save it with a 48000Hz sample rate), then used it for my menu music. It seemed to work pretty well - the sound is at exactly the right speed now.
great thread, thanks for this. I cant be bothered going through all the steps to do my own music right now but I just wanted to get rid of that stupid menu song.
No problem, glad I could help out!
Hi guys, need some help here . I have problems with low pitch and I’ve done everything according to Goshaness in his previous post. I’ve tried lowering the WAV’s hz to 44.1hz but its still has a very low pitch sniff. Anyone can help please?
Would you tell me which file are you trying to modify; and also please upload your custom audio to help me better understand your problem.
thanks
Hi Goshanes, im trying to modify the old temple stage which is BGM_JPX.csb using this audio

ADX

Sorry for the trouble man
I see you posted only one ADX file, so I suppose you were trying to do modifications following forthright55’s tutorial. I can also confirm, that this method works excellent.
I used your file “Geese.adx” for slots 2, 4 and 6.
Then created a new audio file (44,1kHz, 16-bit, stereo) containing only one audio sample (the shortest possible duration ). Encoded it to adx and used for slots 1, 3 and 5 of the CSB packer. And it worked. Try and report
:
nothing.adx
Hey guys, LOVE this thread. I’ve changed the main menu music several times; super easy with this guide.
Anyway, I have a few questions. The first one is, does anyone know how to change the music that comes right after character select and right before the actual fight? You know, when the 2 characters are on screen with the big VS in the middle. The reason being, I have changed the Character Select screen music (BGM_SELVS1.csb), but if you customize it, the music for the VS screen goes away.
The second question is, does anyone know how to make the main menu music random? For example, the online-play lobby is a random song every time. I tried taking the lobby .csb file, copying it, and making it the main menu file, but it doesn’t seem to work.
Thanks a lot, and again, awesome thread.
I was also noticing this. And since I haven’t gotten around to disabling the annoying parts of the announcer, he’s talking to himself CLEARLY during that whole thing. Is there some kind of limit on the length the file can be for it to play or something? Anyway, hopefully someone can help us out.
HI Goshanes, ive tried it and it works with other custom audio. I think the problem is the geese audio file . Anyway, thanks a lot for helping me out man
Glad you like it, i’ll be updating the first post as more tutorials and other tools become available. This way it’s be a lot easier than searching the general mod thread for music related posts :)!
Hello.
Is there a way to totally disable the audio? I don’t need it, and it would be useful as a performance boost.
Has anyone converted the SFIV Character remixes to stage music format yet?
I see someone in this thread appears to have done that with the Sagat theme, are there any more lurkers that have those done? Quite frankly some of the SFIV character/rival themes (whatever you want to call them) are very good and in many cases much better than OCremixes IMO (Chun-li, Sagat just to mame a couple).
Anyway if noone gets it done first I guess I’ll have to learn the tools but it looks like quite the pain in the ass to go from rival to stage music so if anyone’s done it already please speak up
I would do it with pleasure. I think SFIV music (especially rival themes) has got the best arrangement for the series so far. And it’s sad that we don’t hear rival songs very often…
