I just saw this. WHAT IN THE BLOODY HELL?!?!?!?!?!?

I thought we were safe after they ran through there animated catalog. Disney has truly become a lazy entertainment company with this.

A real maze…really?

That’s limiting and strange. Home Alone 3 is far more entertaining and less twisted than Home Alone 2 with a much less awkward acting direction for the adult cast.

I can understand putting Home Alone 1 on a pedestal as it is the original, has good acting, has positive messages about family, and manages to capture a child growing up in a short period of time.

However, Home Alone 2’s beginning largely discards the messages in the first film and the majority of the film promotes consumerism and acts as a nonstop advertisement for tourism in New York even if it is interrupted by references to the first film and parallel story segments.

Hobbs and Shaw was dumb in every great way possible. I enjoyed it a lot. Though the final act was kinda silly. In the realms of the F&F franchise it made ā€œsenseā€

For anyone who hasn’t seen it yet: stick around. There’s two mid-credit scenes.

Summary

Shout out to Ryan Reynolds randomly being in the movie. Had no idea he was even in it. He wasn’t in it much but what scenes he had were really fucking funny.

So Dexter…as a social worker. I can dig it. Also Sean William Scott starring in a theatrical release that isn’t American Pie. Good for him.

Little Monsters looks like it could be fun. I hope it doesn’t go down the same path as Last of The Living. Holy fuck what a gutpunch that was.

I gotta be honest. Since social workers generally do not share cases it would be kinda easy to connect the dots. I still want to see it, but that seems to be a huge issue in the premise.

Seann William Scott has starred in a number of theatrical releases since American Pie:

Final Destination
Road Trip
Dude, Where is My Car?
Bulletproof Monk
The Rundown
Mr. Woodcock
The Promotion
Role Models
Goon

@geese_pants I want him to be one of the robbers or the new kids dad. I think it’s be a nice wink and a nudge to the generation that grew up with his two movies.

Honey Boy trailer…

This is an interesting adaptation given that the source material were a comic strip and most know of the show due to the live action interpretations. It’s a great example of how you can do multiple versions of a property and still capture the essence of what it is supposed to be.

As I was watching the trailer I figured it’d be something like a biopic. I think with the right focus, Shia could do get things. At least its an Amazon release, so I have already paid for it.

Just found out Snoop Dogg is voicing cousin It…in my mind that makes sense.

My friend is a huge, huge, huge Addams family fan and she is beyond stoked. Shes super happy they’re using the original strip designs while splicing in all the other different adaptations the Addams Family have had over the decades. She’s basically a Latina Wednesday lol

I love her. Shes the best. We use to work together. We bonded over watching the original Vizmedia Sailor Moon dub while doing inventory and our love of the Child’s Play movies.

Definitely interested in both the tech and the story.

I checked out First Man last night, since it’s on HBO. I dug it. Ryan Gosling (or Yummy McYum Pants, as my wife calls him) has a stellar performance. The piloting scenes are super intense, and one of the few times shaky cam actually works well in a movie.
