This is pretty much the only movie moment that struck a cord with me that I can think of at the moment

Hey, cool idea!. Here are a few moments in movies that still get me.

Man of Steel: when he first puts on his suit and learns to fly.

Indy, Last Crusade: when Indy kills the tank and his dad thinks he went over the cliff with it. Then Indy climbs up and joins them looking over the edge, nodding like, “Yep, it’s dead.”

Empire: “I love you.” “I know.”

Iron Man: “I am Iron Man.”

Good, Bad, Ugly: final shootout. (Thank you, Ennio)

Under Siege: when she pops out of the cake.

Never Ending Story: Artax :sob:

Braveheart: when he loses his shit after his wife gets her throat slit. First time I had ever seen medieval violence done that intensely.

Two Towers: Helm’s Deep.

I’m sure there are plenty more movie moments, but those are a few that come to mind.

Forgot to add this one to the list. Despite what happened in Endgame, this sequence will be that moment.

I knew what that was before even clicking on it.

Probably the best scene in the entire MCU.

Honestly outside of the scene of Hulk tossing Loki around like a ragdoll (since it is so out of place) I have no recollection of anything that happened in the Avengers films. They did not resonate with me on any level.

The debut trailer for the Kingsman prequel The King’s Man

Looks alot darker but I dunno if they just edited that way or if it really is.

Lol Stuber absolutely fucking bombed only making 8m opening weekend. Critics are ripping it to shreds too. I honestly expected both.

So much for Dave “I only star in good movies” Bautista.

It looked fucking terrible.

Yeah. It looks really bad. Still might see it tomorrow though lol. :coffee:

Half off tickets at my theater on Tuesdays. I’d rather pay $4 and be disappointed than $8 and be disappointed.

I’m still trying to even understand that. What the fuck makes him think he’s too good for The Fast and the Furious? So crazy.

Maybe he personally doesn’t like them? shrug

Either way, it’s stupid to burn bridges with a super-popular franchise you’d fit right into.

Yea, it is. But if he doesn’t want to do it then it really doesn’t matter. There wasn’t much of a bridge to burn you know?

Stuber! Yeah that shit was fun!!!

Holy shit, Stuber really only made 8.2 million (domestic) as of now. I said “those numbers are off” to myself when Stu shot that number. They’re real though.

How’s that even possible? I laugh at Bautista nuking bridges, but he has more star power than that. Do people not know he’s Drax?

Batista does have star power, but I don’t think he quite has that “carry a movie by himself” star power yet like The Rock does. He will get there eventually if he keeps grinding

There in lies the problem, honestly. He’s been in a few “good” movies and the success of said movies to him translates into “I’m successful” and “I’m a box office draw”. Which isn’t really accurate.

Drax is a few tiers above an after thought in the MCU. He’s not even remotely a main character and I’d be awfully generous for calling Drax a secondary character. People don’t like Batista as Drax for his acting skills. Lol. Far from it. Overall, All his roles have been very minimum in screen time and dialogue but heavy on physicality.

While they were all various degrees of successful—he wasn’t the reason why people went to see those movies or why they were successful.

Not saying Battista can’t be a star. He just needs a lot more experience and exposure before he tries to carry films. The Fast and Furious movies could have honestly helped him with both tremendously.

I would like to assume Stuber bombing humbles him in some way and makes him realize he’s not ready to lead or carry a film. It likely won’t. But it’s my hope.
