I still find it crazy that’s Alita still isn’t up for preorder anywhere. It was supposed to come out this month according to a lot of sites and then it got pushed back to “sometime in June”.

Like shit that just hit the theaters are already up for preorder every where. But Alita isn’t. Just confusing to me.

For TV shows and Movies I generally stick to digital unless the price difference is too big to ignore. For instance I got Cowboy Bebop on Blu-Ray for $25 at work. It’s $55 digitally on iTunes.

Oh, I’ll buy anime series’s physically since a lot of the anime’s available digitally are dubbed and imo most dubbed anime is straight garbage. There are exceptions though. Initial D, Tri-Gun, Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop immediately come to mind.

I only buy Steelbooks at this point. It’s more for a display factor. Since it comes with a digital release, given that they come with digital versions, I have no issue purchasing them.

That’s how my best friend is. He will only buy movies if they come in steel book. He’s weird. Lol

It’s a better case for $5 more and in most cases it’s better to look at. Usually second hand you can get a return on those. I don’t plan to sell, but if I do, it’s much easier to do so with Steelbooks.

Oh you absolutely can. I remember when I worked at GameStop we’d ALWAYS get more steel book case preorder bonuses than we had actual preorders for the games. So people would take an extra home with them. I think I had almost 50 individual steel cases. Maybe more.

When I quit GameStop but before I started at Walmart I sold them all off on eBay. I got a surprisingly amount of money for them.

When REmake 2 was coming out at Best Buy you could buy the steel book case for it for $10. People thought that was ridiculous. And yet—for a short while after release the steel books were going for almost $100

The Pokémon go steel book cases also exclusive to Best Buy were going for $75+.

Currently waiting for Detective pikachu to start. I’m so hype. I feel bad seeing it early when I’m planning to see it with a group of friends on Tuesday but like…I’m legit excited about this movie and just couldn’t wait.

Movie trailers now speak for themselves so it’s no surprise that once familiar voice isn’t really used anymore.

Detective Pikachu was fucking AMAZING! There was an overwhelming amount of Easter eggs from the anime, real life pop culture, the mangas, the video games (main line and side games), just every medium you can think of with Pokémon it was referenced in one way or another. It was fucking great. I felt like a little kid watching the first Pokémon movie in theaters. I was filled with child like wonder and excitement the entire time. This movie fucking delivered.

You could tell how much love and care went into this movie. I can’t wait to see it again on Tuesday with friends to see what they think.

I thought IT would be less scary when they were adults, but that looks pretty legit.

Got another $5 off coupon through fandango. Getting to see John Wick 3 for a little over $3. That’s awesome.

The only reason I think part 1 was less scary for me is that one fuckin kid had my theater rolling. We could barely stop laughing at his jokes enough to be scared.

I think Bill Hader might be him as an adult. So I wonder if he’s gonna keep the same level of humor.
