I love the John Wick series because of its action and Keannu’s gun skills (pencil), excited for the upcoming third movie! Anyone with me?

I mean…we literally have a John wick thread. Which you’ve posted in.

So. Yes.

I still haven’t seen any John Wick movies. Not for not wanting to but never can seem to find em. It’s not on Netflix and Redbox in my area doesn’t seem to have them either.

HAHAHAHA Yeah, just noticed  my bad :rofl:

Lol, wife and I just watched The Silence on Netflix in the hotel room we’re staying in. It’s about killer bats who attack anything they hear. So it’s a family on a trek to a sanctuary but they can’t talk. Then you have that other shit show Bird Box where it’s a family on a trek to a sanctuary but they can’t look at anything.

LMAO. These stupid-ass movies :joy:

Seth Rogen can be an ok actor when he is in a movie not produced by himself like “Me, Myself and Dupree”. Otherwise I wouldn’t even bother. Sandler kinda plays himself in all of his movies. Just have little twists to his character

I loved the first one and sadly despite having good lore, I think it will go down the fast and furious road. Like, still good action but pointless sequels imo. Should have stayed at just one movie

It was always designed as a self-contained trilogy.

The second movie was possibly the better one.

Three shall not disappoint.

Just got out of seeing Hellboy. It was…serviceable. Critics have been tearing it to shreds but I feel like I got my monies worth. I went away content. Not happy that I saw it but I didn’t feel like I waisted my time either.

The worst offender of the entire movie is Mila Jovovich and her melodramatic over acting. Every scene with her was unbelievably cringe.

Some of the dialog was kinda sloppy. Mainly between Hellboy and Broom.

They did try to shove and meld way too many Hellboy stories into one overarching story though. So I’ll give critics that.

Like. A high 6/10.

The closing scene was cool though because BPRD members and Hellboy find Abe Sapien. which was clearly sequel bait but unfortunately I doubt we will get a sequel.

Why I feel that way? I was literally the only one in the theater to see it on opening day.

I just saw the trailer to Brightburn about the possiblilty Superman being a villain which I think could be an interesting movie. I always had the feeling that being as powerful as Superman would corrupt anyone, I can’t imagine what it would be like to be an immature kid with the power of a god.

Hellboy is getting eviscerated in reviews. Had a feeling the movie would be a dumpster fire, but not like this. :joy:

I think it might be bad but I noticed reviewers are now challenging each other to see who can shit in a movie worse.

It’s. It not even that bad. While it’s not “good” I still enjoyed myself.

So you admit it’s bad? Lol, we got peeps that enjoy TLJ. Clear some peeps can enjoy garbage.

I’m sure it’s more of a shit show than the previous two and they weren’t even that good.

Edit: And Perlman is gone? This movie can fuck off lmao.

A movie doesn’t have to be “good” in order to be enjoyable. Like I loved the shit out of Rampage. Obviously a bad movie but I had a lot of fun watching it. Same with the Fast and Furious franchise, XXX, Bad Boys movies…etc.

Huge disagree here. I thought Hellboy was great and Golden Army is one of the best follow movies made in recent memory.

This is such a bullshit nitpick to me. Damn the lead out of the gate because it’s not who you want or who you’re used to. The movie has been announced for almost 2 years, maybe longer and they announced Perlman wasn’t apart of it from jump. Perlman said over and over in interviews since Golden Army released that he had no interest in a sequel or reboot unless Del Toro was involved.

People enjoy the current DC and X-men. Shit movies are still shit. Doesn’t matter if some can stomach them lol.

First Hellboy was fine, 2nd was shit. Hamfisted romance and other nonsense dragged it down.

Never followed this franchise closely. They shouldn’t have even bothered with Perlman out.

I mean some of us like TLJ, some of us like Ninja Gaiden 2. We all make mistakes.

So you’re agreeing with me?

So why do you even care?

I liked the first one well enough to consider seeing the third. :man_shrugging:t4:
