I can rattle off some movies with Seth Rogen too. The problem is that none of them are good. I cannot even remotely comprehend how something as stupid as 2016’s ‘Sausage Party’ came about but it feels like an extension of his personality and brand of brain dead college humor.
Just bought my ticket for hellboy. I’m stoked. First showing Friday Morning at 12:30pm.
I hope it’s as good as the second trailer and not the first one. Otherwise imma’ be pissed lol
Edit: just watched the lion king trailer. Literally no reason to see it when they tell you literally everything that happens in the movie in that minute and some change trailer.
I get that it’s a remake and most of us who want to see it have already seen. But there is a whole generation of people who haven’t seen it. They should have hid spoilers a lot better.
It’s moreso that he’s relevant in the space and Disney is capitalizing on it. That’s really about it. Again, I agree that there are far more voice actors, but they aren’t faces that you can associate a name with.
I almost want to see Detective Pikachu even though I know nothing about Pokemon.
The trailer is really good.
you cant fault seth since adam sandler made bundles for years off the same humor
also i sorta liked that porno movie he made
Early reviews for Hellboy are coming in slowly.
Most of them are just bitching that it’s not “their Hellboy” (Perlman).
Another complaint (which is probably a valid one) is they tried to put too many of the Hellboys arcs into one movie and tried to make it “too” comic book with the dialog.
Iunno. I’m still stoked.
Anna trailer…
Sandler has a few good films in his filmography from his early days without the assinine humor unlike Rogen.
Yea the one where he lights a bag of dog shit on fire on someone’s porch is the hight of clever humor.
Lol. What. Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison were nothing but asinine humor. Sandler literally built a legacy on asinine humor.
Yea wtf are you talking about NYM?
He just yells and spazzes out in his earlier movies like Waterboy, and the afforementioned Gilmore and Madison.
He’s more calm in his later movies like Mr.Deeds, Big Daddy, Click, etc.
Pineapple Express is hilarious.
Don’t forget the dumpster fire that is Little Nicky.
I will give you that ‘Billy Madison’ is the definition of asinine humor and ‘Happy Gilmore’ and ‘The Waterboy’ use some low brow humor but it is appropriate given the roles he portrays and the situations he finds himself in those two. He also manages to be funny in them unlike any role portrayed by Rogen. I was thinking more of the ‘Wedding Singer’, ‘50 First Dates’, and ‘Reign Over Me’ when I posted that, but I forgot they released around the mid point in his career (1998, 2004, and 2007 respectively). Regardless, Rogen would be lucky to even reach ‘Billy Madison’ levels of shit.
The only reason ‘Pineapple Express’ was even mildly funny was James Franco.
P.S. Little Nicky is like an SNL skit made into a movie and turned out better than most of those, so I don’t get why it would be brought down to the same level as ‘Billy Madison’ or ‘Jack and Jill’.
Now you’re just moving goal posts and cherry picking. Lol
OK. Short version:
Seth Rogen = shit actor in exclusively mediocre movies
Adam Sandler = adequate actor in a few good movies
Seth Rogans in more good movies then Sandler. He’s consistantly funnier to, especially now when Sandler is a black hole from which humor falls into and never escapes.
Posterboy for Nepotism to boot.
Name the good films and mark the ones where his acting isn’t shit.
