This is the main reason why I am not all in love with the 1986 Transformers movie. after Prime’s death, it’s just a drag to watch. Great ideas with poor execution.

Local theater (but not the one I usually go to) have tickets for John Wick 3 and Detective Pikachu up for presale. It’s SUPER tempting to just get tickets now so I know I have them but I think I’m going to wait a bit until they release presale tickets at my usual theater.
I’m too much of a creature of habit. I really enjoy my ritual of having pho and then walking to the the theater (they’re in the same lot so it’s not that far).

Going to to go see hell boy at to be my “go to” theater. Not yet anyways. Mainly because I’ve never been to it so I don’t know what to expect quality wise (though admittedly “my” theater is a piece of shit and very ghetto) or what kind of places are around it. Some theaters are in shopping centers, some are surrounded by restaurants and some are out in the middle of fucking no where.
so I guess I’ll find out Saturday when I see hellboy.

I don’t like it. Although I like the character designs; especially Wednesday, I don’t like the overall presentation or atmosphere.
I hate the way it looks honestly. Wednesday looks like she is melting.

Their designs in the movie are basically verbatim from the original 1939 comics.
Also, fandango finally updated and hell boy is going to be showing at my usual theater. I’m so god damn happy I don’t have to go to a theater I’ve never been to before.
That’s cool…still don’t like it.

There’s nothing about the The Lion King that makes me want to see it. There are a few changes to the dialogue, but all the scenes shown appear to be a 1:1 remake.

My only complaint is that they ruined Pumba by casting Seth Rogen for the role.
That cgi looks insane. That bug looked real
I don’t hate the casting selection at all. I can’t really see anyone else that you could “see” in that role given the nature of the character.
Unless if my wife wants to see it or a future trailer offers up a better look at the tonal difference between this one and the original, it’s a pass. The trailer just seems like an HD remaster. Beauty and the Beast really did it in for me with the “live action” remakes.
Ernie Sabella is still doing voice work. I would also have been pleasantly surprised if they cast Gilbert Gottfried. However, there are many voice actors that would do a great job if they were given the role.
The only character who’s voice requires the original reprising their role is James Earl Jones. While they may still be active, they want to use star power to stroke interest.

I think Seth Rogen has the opposite effect.
I am sure people most of the movie going public can rattle off two Seth Rogen movies. Won’t work the same way for Ernie Sabella.
Honestly I am more interested to hear about Beyonce’s talent as a voice actor (for better or worse).
You’re not the general public so this matters very little.
