"Movie And A Show" Thread: Popcorn Optional

Nnnnnnn…but it’s Mark Hamill.

Man I saw this last night. Now I am kinda interested. Hamill is a great voice actor so at least that part will be solid.

You can’t be this fucking stupid.

If you actually read the fucking post, which you clearly didn’t. I was talking about Tacoma and Seattle because it had to do with the discussion of movies and their availability based on region. Which is relevant to the overall theme of this thread.

Like the “Hail Satan?” Documentary and the movie “Hell Boy” not being shown at my theater because of the region I live in known as the Bible Belt.

Stop.

I haven’t posted anything related to this in the TF movie thread because the man’s an idiot. He’s said things about the Bee movie that contradict what happened pre, during, and post production. Once Allspark Productions (Hasbro) and/or Paramount make a statement, I’ll take it seriously.

I have no intentions of seeing the child’s play reboot. They cut out everyone who made Child’s Play what it is. Which is bullshit.

Thankfully the SYFY TV show (who does involve everyone who made Child’s play what it is) will be in continuity with the current run of movies and takes place after Cult of Chucky

I saw Us for the third time last night. Ultimately, I stand by being profoundly disappointed by The Tethered, but can’t help but still give the movie a 7 or an 8. It’s strange. Movies that disappoint me this hard normally go into the garbage bin, but this rises above somehow. I can’t call it. I think I have a bias, but about what I don’t know.

Alita Battle Angel passes $400 million! A movie this badass should have made at LEAST $600 million. But $400 is ‘alright’ and proves there’s an audience at least.

I’m almost embarrassed to say how many times i’ve seen it thus far. If Alita was a Superhero? This movie would easily be up there with one of the BEST Superhero movie, origin stories, EVER.

The Sequel petition is up to almost 9,000 signatures too:

Are those 9000s signatures all yours?

considering it made over double its budget it’s likely going to get a sequel.

people need to slow their roll about this. especially you.

If it doesn’t I’ll be surprised. I just hope its not a Pacific Rim level sequel.

Is Alita CGI? Her eyes look big.

A lot of the issues with Pac Rim was none of the original characters came back (some for obvious reasons. Like them dying in the first), the lack of Del toro at the helm and hiring a bunch of shitty actors some them were extremely “flavor of the month” casting picks that had no right to be apart of the franchise. (John Boyega can’t act. He’s awful)

The plot was also kinda whatever. I love charlie day but like…man.

I don’t see Boyega as awful in his works. However, the material he was working with left little to be desired. I didn’t hate the sequel (as hate requires some passion), but it is a far cry away from the first movie. It can stay dead at this point.

No Sir. Great movie is great, and deserves to be talked about.

lol. If only i had the patience.

Literally didn’t say is was a bad movie or shouldn’t be talked about. I thought it was an awesome movie and I hope it does get a sequel.

Just all the spamming about it just needs to chill. Ease up off the gas.

Spam? I barely talk about it. But even so, there’s nothing else in theaters that compares to Alita right now. Thus far it’s EASILY been 2019’s best movie!

Bruh, literally every single one of your posts since it came out almost 2 months ago have only been about Alita. Stfu with that “I barely talk about it” horse shit.

I will say though I do find it weird it’s not up for preorder on iTunes yet. Usually preorders go up for movies even while they’re still in the theater.

If you really consider 1-2 posts a week to be “spam” lol.

What you really mean is, it’s all i’ve been talking about… lately. Which is true. Like i said, nothing else in theaters right now has been on Alita’s level.

This is factually wrong though. Shazam’s early access and captain marvel both earned more than Alita.

Unless you mean, quality wise? Eh. Even then I enjoyed Captain Marvel a lot more than Alita. Even though I liked alita’s Universe more; I thought captain marvel was simply a better movie.

Also, upon further investigation, Alita isn’t preorderable anywhere which I super suspect.

Given two movies in theaters now have fared better in the box office, critic score, and user ratings, this would have to be cognitive dissonance in its finest form.

The world is interesting and I want to see it revisited and it is technically impressive given the circumstances.
