The point is Super Hero movies are shallow, designed by committee, fairly safe movies that are made so that 12 year olds or people that canât even speak english can still easily follow and understand what is going on. This doesnât mean the movies are bad. It just means they donât challenge or elevate the viewer but instead just entertain. Thatâs the reason films like Black Panther or the Dark Knight get so much praise. They at least attempt to talk about subject matter that may make audiences think and have characters with multiple dimensions beyond what is standard in that genre.
Joker movie was amazing; I was skeptical at first when I saw the trailer awhile back maaan Phoenix really made Joker come alive in the movie. Itâs a realistic story path on how anyone can potentially be a Joker.
Planning to watch it again later this week.
