We can probably due it Saturday if we start early and what not. I’d rather play until late (like Midnight or later) and that’s why I’d prefer it to be on like Friday or whatever. But anyway, we can do it on Saturday, I’ll just probably have to head out a bit early or something.

Hey guys, news on the tourney.
We need to decide on whether to have the tournament Saturday or Sunday that weekend. I’ve secured a location in Sherwood that will be happy to host, but I need to know which day we’re doing it so that I can put the arraingements in stone. We’ll be having the event at Imagine Games (click for map). Venue fee will be $10 bucks and half will go to free pizza and drinks, just like at A.R.K, but without the strange feeling of eating a pizza buffet in a Chinese restaurant. Both singles events will be $10, with all entries going to the pot, and the 3v3 will be $15 per team. We’ll start preregistering via the forums and the Facebook page, the venue will be open at 11am for casuals, and the New Character Singles event will kick off at Noon.
The venue will be providing two Xbox360 setups, and we’ll need at least 4-5 more setups to make the event go smoothly. I’m gonna update the Facebook event tonight when I get a solid answer on the date. Let me know what you guys want.
BREAKING NEWS: I just found out that we’re not going to be able to do it on the Saturday and use the venue, as the venue is already being used for another (non-fighting game) event on Saturday, and as that event will be fairly large, I doubt we’ll have room for us to setup and play. If we’re going to do it on Saturday, we’ll need somebody else to host (which may change the venue fee).
It’s likely we can host it at our place.
I’m gonna find out if we can use the venue on Saturday. We may have to share space with a YuGiOh tournament if we do, but it does mean two setups that nobody has to bring.
dlimited, We’re gonna start the singles stuff at noon. Unless we just get an epic number of people, I imagine we’ll have both singles events done around 8-9pm Sunday. Would that be too late? Did you want to get into the 3v3?
I’ve got a question for anyone who feels like they would like to contribute to BTFS II. As the southwest/east how do you feel you would want to be represented in 10 words or less. Kind of like a slogan. Shoot me a PM! Thanks to anyone who submits something 
EDIT to help clear things up. I am working on a website / handout for Battle for the South II. I am looking for player insight on " as a region how would you define us in 10 words or less? "are we The best? To be feared? Indestructible!!! etc etc etc.
Update: I just talked to the owner of the venue, and he says he’ll make room on Saturday for us. He just needs to know what day in advance.
I like how I asked about people going to GAMME and Evo as far back as 2 months ago and got absolutely no response. Now people are talking about both all of a sudden. How is the token black dude of the group the only one not on CPT?

I think we told you that we are going for sure, however, I and Max have other alternatives for housing. you talk about it but what is your way of getting there? and r you 100 percent sure that you going Chris, I don’t want another Final round or last Texas tourney situation. You have bail out on us last two events that you said you were going to go. This is mike by the way.
I’m flying, my room has been reserved for 2 months, and I’ll be at Evo regardless of if any of you show up. I bailed on the last one because there was no plan until the last minute, and I figured making sure I make MWC was more important than trying to squeeze into a weekend tournament with nothing worked out.
