Mega Man 2: Running out of Bubble Lead at the final boss.
Malachor V in KOTOR II.
It’s just an overly long. unfinished, uninspired trawl through dozens of enemies who stand no chance of even hurting you by that point.
Such a pity Lucas Arts rushed Obsidian as the game is brilliant up until that point.
Aside from what some folks already mentioned like the last part of Shenmue 2, Escort missions, and Un-Sonic like parts of Sonics games (fuck you sega), I’ll have to say Namco X Capcom after a few chapters. 'Shit was so fucking long and repetitve… and unnecessary. They could’ve easily cut out so much shit in that game.
I did enjoy the dialogue though so I kept playing.
I’m starting to feel the same way about the Super Robot Taisen OG: EF, but at least I’ll be done with the game approximately 150 hours earlier (Thank you localization/translation).
I hope the upcoming sequel won’t wear me down as much toward the latter half of the game.
Very true. Don’t even get me started, KOTOR 2 made me cry for what could have been.
-Jet Force Gemini: Beating the last boss only to find out that you need to go back and redo the entire fucking game and save all the bears you thought were optional and decided not to because fuck bears.
Fuck bears.

Them shits is worse then Ewoks.
WRPGs fucking rock. You don’t know RPG if you’ve never heard of/played Planescape: Torment, Fallout 1/2, and the Baldur’s Gate series. If you’ve not played these games, YJDK RPGs. Saying you like RPGs and never played PST or BG II is like saying you love fighting games but never played SF2.
As far as the topic is concerned:
Unlocking all the costume colors and characters in SF4.
1-any level in WoW.
I mirror the Fade in Dragon Age.
All the fucking vehicle levels in the Gears of War games. Gears of War is not a fucking vehicle shooter. STOP THAT SHIT.
Toy Story - All the racing levels, they seem pointless or unfinished.
Neverwinter nights 2: Mask of the betrayer.
Great RPG, great story and characters, good gameplay and good fights. Beside that god damn underground maze, way too long and boring, at the same time there is a creepy old witch singing in the background is just horrible.
Bayonetta.: Chapter 14, Verse 1 and 2. This games amazing but I really don’t like this missal stage. It’s really hard to see whats going on and the spinning due to dodging makes my eyes hurt by the end of it. It’s also really really long. Just not my favorite.
agreed. although, i like the idea and think they could have been very viable characters. Team Ninja decision to make them much weaker than Ryu makes little sense. currently, they’re just barely acceptable up to Mentor level in both SP and Co-op, but they’ll prematurely age any player on Master Ninja Mode. Ryu has a hard enough of a time on MNM and these characters make it even harder.
Anybody ever played Mystic Heroes? It’s like a really braindead version of Dynasty Warriors. Long dragged-out levels with hordes of enemies that stand around you waiting to get smacked while your character goes into autopilot from mashing the attack button, rushing at the enemies without the need for directional input.
Speaking of which, the underwater level in the original Sonic game. That one stage was 10x harder then the rest of the game.
The last two levels of Armored Core for PSX. Especially if you have a heavy core.
Clomping through endless corridors to fight stupid enemies. And the very last level might be the worst level design I’ve ever seen in a game period.
lol cause DW takes a lot of thought and input?
To elaborate on this statement because i totally agree.
Even though I like Giruvegan and the Great Crystal(98% is because of the music). Pharos was completely lame and sucked all the fun out of the game. I mean that stage takes HRS to beat and it’s crazy frustrating your 1st time thru. not in a" this game is hard" sense but more in a " I’m running around in circles fighting the same uninspired enemy designs with the same drab background as try to find a way out . The stages, while i’m sure the designers intended to challenge you in every way, like taking away one of your rpg elements IE attack, magic, map or item. It just comes off as boring. The last section has you choosing multiple pathways that lead to the same destination if you choose wrong twice. A death room where every enemy is a multiple status inducer(FUCK YOU DISEASE). and when you figure your way out(by smashing 2 walls that has nearly nothing to do with the puzzle) you immediatley fight a boss with no time to prepare…Fun.
Oh you did not just say that.
I like DK64, but Banjo Kazooie was the fucking BEST.
speaking of dk 64 did anyone the last level that was timed?
that shit was so fucking gay.
also cut-out k-rool was pretty annoying as well.
and those fucking like old ass games with the spaceman that were ughhh also
banjo owns that game.
Rare ran out of filler, so they had to throw on this loooong ass search to get those Nintendo coins so you can play some old ass game. Arrrrrgh.
But no, those Banjo games are pretty fucking terrible fetchquests too. Honestly, Rare really killed the collectahon sub-genre(a shame after they mastered it with DKC2).
