I haven’t fired this game up in a hella long time. It’s a step in the right direction from the previous three, but damn, stupid shit abound. Ed Boon fucking knows about it, yet he refuses to correct his mistakes? What an asshole. If I ever see him at a con or something, remind me to punch him.

MKvDC does have blood and guts though. To an extent. Have you even played the game?
Blood, yes. Guts, no. Skeletons, though, and exploding skin and whatnot.
Same difference. MKvDC is still traditional MK. They just watered down a few fatalities so they could get the T rating instead of M.

People bitch about the “credibility” of MK and their blood and gore shit and how MKvDC ruined it.
Well, think about it this way.
I’d rather have slightly toned down but logical (from an MK uni stand point) fatality than a over the top fatality where the opponent fucking explodes and apparently had 5 torso’s, 8 heads, 6 arms and 7 legs.
Come on now.

They should have just stuck with fatalities through out the years.
Animality, Babality, Friendships, Brutalitys. All stupid and probably hurt the franchise more in the long run than it helped it. If they would have just stuck with what they had known, MK probably wouldn’t be the joke that it is today.
But that’s just imo really.
In UMK3 you can make it so that twelve skulls, ten rib cages, and about twenty feet hit the ground. Am I weird for thinking that shit was funny as hell?

as simple as jax’s headsquisher fatality is, it still gets props for bein unique and awesome
flash’s fatality look like it could have potential
but it jus looks boring
they need to watch some modern action movies or even animated flash movies on the net
flipin 14yr old amateur animators make better scenes than these guys

I just saw Joker shoot a guy in the face in one of his fatalities…and the MK cast still do some pretty sick shit.
So its a little toned down, it doesn’t mean that its not violent or more importantly the series is not known for releasing gratuitous amounts of violence.
I thought some of Deception’s fatalities were pretty cool. Darrius rearranging your body parts and Li Mei’s Hokuto no Ken reference were awesome.
IMO that’s what’s wrong with the community. Games are judged on its flaws and not on its qualities. Yie Air Kung Fu has no glitches AFAIK, and sucks, while glitched MvC2 is view by many as the best game ever.
I think lacking good stuff is way worse than having extra bad stuff. You can give SFIV some glitches and it will still be way better than WW, or 3S actually.
MK vs DC is incredibly fun. At least to me, is the most entertaining of all the new games. Maybe it will have patches, and maybe not. Maybe it will shine competitively some day, and maybe (or probably) not. But at least to me it achieved the main goal of a game, which is fun.
Ill admit some of the fatalities are REALLY REALLY weak. Flash and Kano come to mind. Some of them are brutal though, Jokers card one makes me cringe, (want his old gun one back obv), both of death strokes, and i member one of kitanas being pretty good.
If the glitches make the game unplayable to people. Which MKvDC is to a lot of people cause of all the shit that’s wrong with it, then yes. We have every right to bitch.
And yeah, marvel has tons of glitches. But they are with shitty characters no one uses and they are game breaking glitches which are banned anyhow. So bringing up marvel is pointless.
How about judging games based on BOTH their good and bad qualities? What a concept.
This game sold surprisingly well, but too bad we won’t see an M rated sequel.
