I was wondering why it looked so “familiar.”
They had to come up with some reason for Kano to get the laser beam eye…
In another words, he survives… or he should…
Better than the bs ways people got powers in the first one made…
My favorite guy got killed on the first ep(J. Cage)
EDIT: Also they are also setting Jax up to become a cyborg…
Johnny is dead. Not yet anyway lol
You’re confused with Rebirth which was just a pitch to Warner Brother, other than Jax and Sonya it has nothing to do with MKLegacy
Another Monday…another Legacy

Incase you didn’t see it posted on the front page
Kitana & Mileena Part 2

I liked the animated parts in these and I’m trying to not be picky about things that were changed.
Mortal Kombat Legacy Ep. 6 - Raiden

Episode 5 was absolutely atrocious but I’m glad to see they’re back on track with 6. Although with Shao Khan obviously playing a big role in the things to come, I can only figure they’ll dip back into the well of stupid for future episodes.
Man I do a search for this thread and it can’t even tell me that it’s on the second page? Really? I put in proposed, I put in Mortal Kombat, I put them together and I even separated it. I searched just this forum as well. Search function seems to have gotten worse. -_-
In anycase,
Mortal Kombat Legacy - Scorpion and Subzero part 1

Someone forgot to double tap
Wasn’t impressed by the Raiden episode, thought Raiden was 100% Japanese too.
Scorpion & Subzero part 1 promised so much, everything about that episode looked like they took their time with it, soundtrack for once was cool (I need that track) & Ian Anthony Dale always has a great screen presence. Unfortunately part 2 was a bit of a let down, too many close ups and cutting during the fight scenes, but the SFXs were good.
Eps were awesome!
Raiden one still has me trippen bawls! WTF!? hahaha…
I thought he would be more raiden esc and teleport and not just stay for the drugs…
SCorp and sub zero was pretty COOL! Short but very similar to the actual story! Scorpion was tight! I use to hate him as a kid cuz I thought he wrong’d sub-zeros clan but hey, it is what it is now!
Both of them are cool !
I hope this leads to something more, I kinda guess it will… Perhaps another series? Perhaps another movie? I wonder who the next episode will be based on? Hopefully the cyborgs seeing as they were mentioned and shown indirectly in the first episode. I’d love to see Ermac or Smoke though.
Yes, the last 2 will be about Sektor and Cyrax. So no Liu Kang or Kung Lao at all…and no Reptile either.
Personally, I have mixed feelings about this series. I can understand why Ed Boon wanted to pull Kevin Tancharoen away from the “reality-based” Mortal Kombat he created in Rebirth, but sometimes I think Boon pulls the leash in too tight. Many of the stories are told almost exactly like they were told in the games (and with Johnny Cage: like the first movie). Therefore, I’m not really getting much out of them.
And thats why my favorite episode is the Raiden one. It showed Raiden in a different light than what we’re normally used too, a more humanized Raiden, then the omnipresent god we’re used to seeing. Also, notice how that episode had the special disclaimer in the beginning? Boon clearly gave Tancharoen some room to flex his directoral muscles - but with reservations. But in return, we got something good out of it: something fresh. We need more of that, not the 10th retelling of Scorpion’s origion.
My other issue is choreography. It seems that almost every Mortal Kombat combatant went to the same martial arts school…and that school doesn’t have a lot of variety in their attacks: I saw the same spinning flying heel kick finisher in 3 separate fight scenes (Cage, Kitana, and Scorpion, specifically). But, I guess this keeps in the spirit of the homogenous normals the characters in the first 3 Mortal Kombat games had.
Overall, the web series is decent. I’m getting some enjoyment out of it, but for the reasons above, I’m not falling in love with it.
^ you think too much. series is mad good in comparison to that pile of shit trailer we got a couple years back, and just good in general. something i would actually watch if it got a tv show.
When is MK Rebirth coming out? I want to see that.
i liked the scorpion and sub zero ones so far, the rest were kind of bad
Stories have been ongoing up till this point! lmao… a lot of history!
So I’ve been told
That’s cool, I’m glad you like it.
Actually, I would like to see this continue, and I could get into a TV series. But they got to get better choreography. When it comes to action series with a lot of hand-to-hand or weapon-to-weapon combat, I weigh the fight scenes higher than anything else. Fight scenes should be more than just finding out who wins: it should be a display of the fighters personalities and emotions; it should tell a story; it should flow; and have meaning. If the fighting is boring and/or mailed-in, unless it has a strong plot, I’m going to lose interest fast.
But thats just me.
Final ep is up

^Haha, that shit took long enough…
This fell all the way off the/my radar…
