So is there ANYTHING good about this game? I played it during the first week or so when it was out, but the gameplay still seems like shit, and the cheating I saw online(PS2) was ridiculous. I hoped I would enjoy Chess Kombat at least, but since taking a square that the opponent occupies requires a battle using Deception’s shitty, I didn’t bother finishing the game. I didn’t try Puzzle Kombat, by that time I was fed up. :tdown:

Check the NEC5 thread from now on for all info re: the MKD and UMK3 tournaments and whatnot; I have yet to officially post my “UMK3 Money Matches” post in that thread too. (basically $200 bets saying EWAShock will brutalize the VA players…I can use the $$$ to buy something cool; but I don’t think they’ll have the balls to even show up, let alone take any bets) Ah well.

I’m surprised this thread is on the first page. How expected that its due to the fact that its gotten off-topic. I tried playing the game yesterday, after getting over my laziness to finish unlocking everything. Been entertained reading posts from kids at GameFAQs. I decided to stay away from MKO, for health reasons. Ah well. This thread is packed with some damn good quotes.

On topic of MKD…
I finally played a human being last night in MKD!!! God damn the game is broken as all hell…within minutes I found a custom Shujinko kombo that does about %50 that I could easily do in my sleep, or even if I was in a coma.
Nonetheless for the few matches I played I did have fun, I did enjoy the game…Tekken or SC it is not. In any event after NEC5 my feelings may change drastically (I know they prolly will, as I’m sure I’ll see some truly sick/broken shit in the tournament.)
I think we’re back on topic now…

You all say you use different characters against scorpion at the end. I am only allowed to use Shinjinku for some reason and he sucks. He has no special moves or fireballs at all.

I’m talking about Konquest Mode too. When you place the last Kamidogou. Scorpion walks up to a very old Shinjuku and he says you have to fight me. When I fight him I am forced to use Shinjuku not Sindel. Sindel was the last fighter that I absorbed the fighting abilities from. After you finish her training you can use her. But when I fight scorpion in the nexus, Shinjuku remains himself.

That’s how your supposed to fight Scorpion, without anyones abilities. Just like the earlier fight against Tanya.
Yeah that’s the deal with it, you fight Scorpion as Shujinko, no specials, it’s a way to make the game harder, but it’s still easy to beat him.
Also, in Konquest mode if you fight a character using an absorbed form you don’t like, you can quit the match, take the loss, and the next time you fight you will be another character, I’m not sure if there’s a way to just select who you use since I only played it through to get all the hiddens.

You should be disgusted with it anyway, but yea, I’d probably make you hate it more. It’s fun in a way, but it’s the most broke game I’ve played in a long ass time.
