It’s too bad the gameplay will be ass. Knowing Midway, they’d probably have an MK:A Special Edition pack (via preorder) which includes either UMK3 or MKT (or both) to try & get the veteran MK fans’ attention, in order to market their crappy game.

No. Boon’s already stated that this will simply be the last MK title for the current gen consoles (kill off as many characters as possible). They’re planning on starting off fresh with MK for the next gen consoles (which should have been done long ago). Midway will continue making MK titles for as long as they’re in business (given it’s one of the very few franchises that brings them in money). For however long that is.:wonder:

But I’m only going to rent this… at first. I said I was going to buy it, but I advise all to rent it first. I’m anxious to hear more about the story at least. And what new characters are there.

i jumped off the mk bandwagon after 3. i havn’t played any of the 3d ones yet. if this game is gonna include all characters and be like the game to end mk then i’ll might pick it up.

MK Armageddon will suck hard, that’s for sure. Maybe there’s hope for some good next-gen Mortal Kombat, but I’m not too optimistic

It looks like it’ll be terrible. I love UMK3. I remember being hyped about MK4, playing it, and thinking it was heinous. And then MKDA was kinda cool looking, tried it (didn’t buy thankfully) and that was garbage, had no hope for MKD and that ended up being the correct way to go. I just assume this will be the worst parts of the previous games, plus new bad parts, augmented in all terribleness by tons of characters.
You know the only reason they decided to just go ahead and put all the fighters in is because they realized they didn’t need to worry about balancing them anyway -_-
