MK Arcade Kollection + Street Fighter 3rd Strike: OE = Take my money NOW.

Too bad they’re so vague with release dates. “SUMMER 2011” It’s summer…where is it?

inorite? :coffee:

My guess is early to mid September.

September… here’s to me fixing my YLOD by then, even though I’ll have to pay someone else to do it, so I won’t have $$$ for MK/3S

get MKAK on PC

Just paid off my 2 retro PDP MK sticks w/ MKAK download codes. :coffee:

Definitely on this when it comes out, but I don’t think I’ll waste money on the PDP stick… haven’t heard very good things about it, and I’d probably just be better off dual-modding my PS3 MadCatz TE.

why did they put in umk3 instead of mkt :frowning:

just my opinion

  1. “Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection”
  2. MKT is broken as fuck.

ok the arcade part i didnt think bout that

but broken?

mk3/umk3/mkt all had there own little things that where different but your saying it is broke? explain?
are you talking bout it being broke because of uppercut recovery code? mk3 and umk3 had it?

I’m going to assume that Lost Fragment is referring to Noob Saibot being god-tier in MKT.

  1. UMk3 is the finished version of the MK3 engine. MK3 isnt a game. It was just a start.

  2. yes, the first incarnations of MK3 were broken. Unmasked Sub-Zero was terribly, awfully broke.

  3. UMK3 has its issues, but its still the best MK, and its not broken.

  4. MKT is a bad console port, not even entirely done by the actual MK team. It was not tested, and it just smashed into a wall broken.

  5. Noob is the most broken in MKT, but Rain, MK1 & MK2 versions of Jax, Kung Lao, Kano & Raiden, along with bosses and others, are very fucked up.

As great as UMK3 is, MKT is just that bad. Fun? sure. But i fucking hate it with a passion. More so because of what it was supposed to be, and what it was not.

Now take the idea of the unfinished MK HD Kollection and just remake MKT instead - refilmed, 100% rebuilt from the ground up - Fuck yes.

goro/kintaro is godlike.

still when i was a child i used to play so much mkt on ps1 and mk3 on snes

thats why id rather have em them umk3.

also i wonder why they didnt put in mk4? would be sweet to have 1-4.

also since umk3 was taken off xbox live i can understand why it would be put in.

Believe me when i tell you UMK3 is SOOOOO much better than MK3. its not even close.

MK4 Arcade Revision 3.0 has never ever been fully emulated. Partially, but due to the weird hardware the game was built on,
it was never done and the ports - N64, PS1 & PC - N64 being the best…seriously…just never played as good as the arcade revision 3.0.
MK Gold was to MK4 as MKT is to UMK3 - More characters, more arenas, more broken, stupid shit.

I definitely think MK4 would have been a much better addition than MK1. MK1 is pretty bad (is Sonya’s Leg Throw infi still in?)

yes, its there, but she is “banned” LOL but seriously, MK4 should be in there, especially since its an Arcade Kollection. MK1 is alllll nostalgia. Playing it is very archaic, especially in a serious manner imo.

I’m actually really excited for this. I love some UMK3 and I’m also interested in playing MK1 and MK2 online against people who take fighting games seriously. I am guessing this has been in the works for a while seeing as they took UMK3 off of the XBLA a WHILE ago.

Welcome back to where it all began!
