So far the TTT2 has been poor in support for their game and Im tired of reading how it’s a lock for evo 2013 when in fact when its all said and done it may not deserve it with titles like MK9 still going strong and TTT2 showing poor numbers out the gate.
Id be ashamed if Injustice first major pulls in 48 people or if MK9 did.

With this being said I see the following for upcoming events:
MLG Dallas MK9: 100+ and we get picked up for 2013 (TTT2 Looking like it’ll pull 30-40 and be dropped soon like scv and kof)
Nec 100+
Final Round 60+ (easter weekend being an issue)
SCR 60+ (So Cal TOs hate MK9 and it’ll still pull in good #s)
I feel like MK9 has a great shot at EVO 2013 after surveying the scene so far for Persona, TTT2, SCV, DOA5

MK9 is blowing these games away at most events so as of now and MK9 community should be proud because damnt we have a tremendous chance and the evidence speaks for itself that we should be invited back to EVO 2013
We are an interesting community - TTT2 forums are dead and overdose on Nyquil unless you live here in ATL.
ATL TEKKEN = MOST HYPE EVER but its sad all other scenes dont follow.
It’ll be interesting to see how these upcoming events and their games compare with mk9 #s
Dont get me wrong TTT2 is hype in Atlanta but the forums are boring and the community is so unhype on a whole national level.
We will see if people feel the same way about MK9 in 6 more months. Who knows maybe capcom will add a disable gems mode and make SFxT a good game for ver2013

For us I believe MK9 will only grow and get back to its highest attended days of 2011 and earlier 2012 because of MLG possibly picking it up for 2013 and Injustice
When Injustice comes out we will all flood to these majors where MK9 will be also, Players who sign up for injustice from the MK community will also sign up for MK9.
Some have given up on paying $400 to travel for mk9 because lets be serious, they no longer feel they can win or compete but when they start traveling for injustice those players will also flock back to MK9
Injustice will be our MVC as it is to capcom players who main AE
Lol. How do you know? Last time, MK got on EVO2012 because we had consistent tournament numbers. When TTT2 is pulling in it’s first major comparable #s to a new release EVO “lock” game, I beg to differ.
But. I’ll give TTT2 the benefit of the doubt, let these other majors play out and see what the numbers are for TTT2, and if it’s anywhere close to our “non headline” game, y’all can HOLD DAT.
I believe in MK9 staying in Evo 2013 as for injustice my friend has doubts of it being a good game (he loves dc but he wants netherealm to work on mk10 instead of injustice lol). I hope it does turn out to be a good game I’d love to see tourneys for it in England here too. I already told myself in the next 2 years I want to go to Evo for the first time I might make it next year just to support injustice (no doubt in my mind minute I saw flash he was gonna be my main, that and GL).
Just look at the entrants for MLG which was TTT2’s first real major. They had 64 entrants and MK9 got 96 after being out for a year and a half. We are not going anywhere. EVO should pick us up again.
With Injustice coming out, MK9 will only get stronger.
I believe that New Mortal Kombat will be at EVO 2K13. Someone should do a tournament of legends for UMK3 like they did with ST last year. Have majors before EVO hold UMK3 tournament of legends qualifiers. Wasn’t there a Magic The Gathering Standard and/or Legacy tournament at an EVO one time?
You guys forget the LARGE international numbers ttt2 will bring in, Korea, UK, Japan and a few others play tekken. Evo is when most international players come out remember that. Injustice won’t make it and neither will PlayStation all stars.

Evo has usually had some form of a 3d game also and idk if vf5 will make it.
The possible choices in order of most likely added to the line up are
An anime game such as persona with a low chance of BB if the new game comes out in time and has a good showing ( sorry skullgirls is a lost cause )
King of fighters, another game that will bring a large international crowd and the Mexican Korean hype is amazing.
Idk if evo will do 6 games but remember you have to account for the large picture and that’s worldwide.
Think you’re given MK too much credit. The game had a good run, but I put it really low on chances of making it to the cut the EVO. TTT2 is a guarantee, no getting around it. The game is the definitive 3D fighter right now since SC is dead, DOA isn’t holding much, and VF is…painful to watch and not big. The Evo line up is looking like this:

TTT2 - guaranteed
SF42012 - very very likely
Injustice - very likely, depends on how it’s received
KOF13 - likely
PSAS - likely, simply due to Sony sponsorship but may be a side event
DOA5 - likely

SFxT - very unlikely unless major changes occur
I can’t really see any other games making the cut for a major event holder (unless im missing one?) and MK has too many titles in front of it with better chances due to numbers, newness, and diversity (there will be at least 1 3D fighter if not 2 due to DOA if it makes it). Personally I don’t think MK deserves it as the game was a great improvement to the series, it has some pretty glaring flaws as a competitive fighter and I think we need to wait for the next installment and see if it gets smoothed over. Right now Injustice pretty much seals MK9’s fate in this years EVO due to being too similar.
Also the less I see of Tom Brady’s smug ass the better >_>
