Managed to get a few hours into the beta before it closed. Damn does this game feel good. I really like the flow of the game in general and it is a godsend to play a game again when I donāt feel like the online is probably gonna shit the bed at some point.
My favorite thing about this game is that even when I run into someone that kicks my ass, assuming they donāt run I can usually figure out how to counter what they are doing in matches. It is very satisfying to be able to do that organically after playing SFV for the past couple of years. It is also satisfying to have someone bail after I get a clean win on them and they can sense Iāve started to figure them out.
I like Skarlet. I also think Jade might be fun and may be better for how Iām playing; I donāt actually play keep away that much with Skarlet and she seems to want to operate mostly from mid to long range. I naturally want to transition to up close pressure which Jade might be better at. Or, yāknow, one of the many chars that I have yet to touch. Its nice to already have two chars that I like out of the gate and a lot of remaining possibilities (still really want to try Cassie and Sonya even if they arenāt necessarily my style to varying degrees).
Very excited for the release in 3 weeks.
