If everyone can deal with doing combos in SSF4 they should be able to deal with 2-frame FRCs. :hmph:
PS2s are starting to die out in the tournament dig in America almost. The online release of GG needs to be done before the next gen GG comes out.
I was gonna make this post about complicated maneuvers not making a game hardcore, but then I remember when I was able to dustloop in #R after practicing for a long time with a pad. Then I also saw the Dizzy combos that required the FRC timing and…there is this awesome warm feeling when you get to do shit like that.
We really need arcades or a better way of advertising towards local scene because the importance of competition as a motivator cannot be overstated.
Pretty sure there’s a difference between “cancel the recovery of something as it hits the opponent” and “cancel the recovery before it even finishes coming out.” Options would be gone.
Making the input more lenient would be great. Removing it entirely would be awful.
And who says you can’t add the ability to RC something before it comes out?
People are thinking with very small minds here.
isnt naomi emulation pretty good
edit: or atomiswave or whatever hardware gg is on
Like J1n said GGAC is the new ST. It won’t die as long as you don’t let it.
Now we have online, too. And our GG meetings have become laptop based because of HRAP3s.
About the new GG: Pachi was a GGXXR SBO winner in 2005 and was involved in GGAC. He knows GG and he loves GG as much as you’d expect from an SBO winner. To compare him and the new GG to someone like Ono and his SF4 is a huge insult.
If Pachi will be in charge of a new game, I give him my trust.
About the FRC thing: Like Ky’s 236dd, imagine doing 236p with sol, then pressing D (with a huge window to do it) and that it will have the same effect as an FRC. The game can be made easier w/o changing the tactical aspect.
So basically, FRC’s that cost 50% meter?
Friggin’ genius you are.
No one is going to GRRLfriend pressure for 50% meter.
Not wanting to make a netplay rerelease of GGAC is lame. I’d play the shit out of that game again if there was any comp within 300 miles.
Did you just never play MvC2?
I think the assumption was that RCs would end up being 25% meter, and would work like FRCs as well. So a version of sprt’s first option, but not shitty.
That wouldn’t be too terrible actually, being able to cancel anything pretty much any time for 25% meter.
That would be pretty bad actually…because things would be alot more risk free (Sol’s VV RC, now with 4 times the fun!); pressure would be even more overwhelming…and you’d get broken combo’s.
There’s a reason RC’s cost 50%, and there’s a reason GG is the way it is. People just kinda like to assume that these system mechanics were dumped in with no thought behind them. RC’s and FRC’s aren’t in the game to make it harder.
at sbo pachi held up a sign saying what blazblue is all about. the sign read:
-
combo practice
-
bang & litchi
hehe
I was once one of those people, but after playing GGXXAC for a while I understand the whole system. I love playing GGXXAC, one of my favorite fighters. However, I don’t have much competition ATM.
I could wait for a new GG, besides GGXXAC is great and will last a while.
This is why I told yhas last year to start playing by MY rules:rolleyes: Even though I don’t even play the game outside of training mode I said that Guilty Gear Generations (AKA GGG or G times 3) with EX and gold characters allowed was the way to go with dis shyt but did you guys listen…?
OF COURSE NOT BECAUSE NO ONE EVER LISTENS TO ME :annoy::annoy:
FRCs were fun and not very difficult for me but I really won’t miss them being gone. I’m way more subdued by the idea that there won’t be another GG for years because there’s no interest in making another with the BB cash cow. I was hoping there’d be a surprise in a year or two
The amount of things you can do with FRC’s are insane! Mix-up’s; normal bait; burst bait; burst throws; extra combo damage; resets; Chipp etc etc…and gimmicks! Who doesn’t like mass gimmicks?! Well, on the bright side, at least Marn won’t be able to finish a match for the win anymore =p (no more 214S FRC into Damned Fang lololol)
It shouldn’t have taken this long for somebody to bring this up. The “turn FRCs into force breaks” is a decent idea though imho.
You know, I’d be happy for a PSN/XBL port of AC, I mean hell, they did Battle Fantasia on PSN.
I can’t pretend I’m not a little disappointed, but I still play ST and that’s what, 16 years old? AC still has plenty of life in it.
