Of course (as has been stated before), that’s most likely just a placeholder for D&D and that the IG website was just never updated.
I honestly wouldn’t want an Alpha 3 OE anymore, because it would fail hard just like SF3:OE and Darkstalkers Resurrection. I’d still play it but it would be a waste of time if no one goes online. I’d rather just stick to ggpo. But I guess if it were to happen, then I’d like the Max version to be used. Four new characters (Yun, Maki, Ingrid, Eagle), a whole bunch of awesome modes, and the crouch canceling bug is fixed. I also agree that everything outside of V-ism infinites in A3 is completely solid.
As for other games that could get the OE treatment, ideally I’d like to see something like Rival Schools, Street Fighter EX1/2/3, or Plasma Sword.
Even without crouch/walk cancel, A3’s juggle mechanics are still really dumb to me and it feels slower than A2. Also, without V-Ism being as dumb as it is the balance would actually be worse. Dhalsim would just tear through everyone that much harder since there would be less he would have to worry about. To me, just overall fuck A3 in general.

Again, guys, you’re missing the bigger picture.
You all complain about Capcom re-releasing old games, then turn around and say you want them to release these old fighting games that are destined to be abandoned in less than 3 months.
We all know that if A3 and CVS2 got released online, they’d both be barren in no time, thanks to V-Ism and roll cancelling nonsense.
Didn’t y’all see what happened with MVCO? That place got cleared out in a damn month.
That’s why they need to put out games that didn’t get a lot of attention. Hell, forget fighting games, release a Saturday Night Slammasters with GGPO and widescreen support.
Steam releases of all their XBL/PSN releases.
I wish Capcom would invest in their old games more than they do. I feel sorry for guys whove played 3rd Strike or CVS2 for over 10 years, and what has it gotten them? Capcom needs to invest in tournaments more and more each year and publicize them all over the place, hell have the next Resident Evil film take place during an Evo like event way way in the future. Stop just putting out games, and invest in ones that have already been out.
Exactly. A2 is just an easier game to play, that’s why most people like it more. A3 is too complicated for the masses. Crouch cancels aren’t that big of a deal, post VC crouch cancels are the problem.
The juggle system opens up new traps and such. I don’t see how the game is slower than A2 at all, it’s actually a fairly aggressive game.
I’d like Alpha 3 if they removed juggles.

A2 and A3 together would be nice. I mean they own the games. dunno whats stopping them.

Just remove V-Ism. Boom. A3 becomes a better game.
V-Ism isn’t even the problem. It’s the fact that you can V-Ism into a juggle that takes 80 seconds to complete.
In CTF, I’d play A3 and when somebody would get Ryu’s juggle on me, I would just be like, “Stop, kill me, take the round, and lets move on”

So, simple solution would be removing V-Ism, reducing the juggles and maybe adding a new groove?

Okay, this thread has gone way off topic and turned into a SF Alpha 3 discussion. Also it’s highly likely that this entry for “more Capcom goodness” is simply a placeholder for D&D Chronicles of Mystara and that IG’s site just hasn’t been updated (Darkstalkers Resurrection is still listed as TBD even though it’s been out for awhile) and people are simply using this as a wishlist thread (against the rules). As such I’m gonna lock this and ask those talking about SFA to do so in a thread dedicated to it.
EDIT: Got confirmation from Dave Lang himself that they just haven’t updated the site. He also apologized for any confusion this caused.
