Hey whitey, if you do ever end up making it, I have some spare arcade parts that would be more useful in a fightstick format. You said you can build them from scratch? What is the process for making the box?
I am able to take a shitty xbox 360 controller (madcatz) and solder wires and a transistor to it, then put quick disconnects on the wires and hook it all up to the joystick and buttons, essentially mapping a 360 controller to whatever buttons you had laying around. The only thing I lack is the ability to build a box. QCFgaming has boxes for sale for like 25 dollars, but they’re not the best quality of wood (totally serviceable though). You can use a $4 tupperware type box from Wal*Mart and it will hold you off for quite a while (no joke), or you can find a metal briefcase or any type of container and get someone to drill the 11 holes for you.
If you live on the campus, you should talk anybody that majors in any sort of ‘build shit for a living’, and get them to make you a box.
Is the Friday meeting a ‘bring-your-own-stick’ event? Because I have two sticks that are torn apart while I finish the painting on their boxes, so I won’t have them together by Friday. Please don’t make me play on a pad. :shake:
Its not bring your own stick. We have two set ups (and will have a third as soon as we get one more ps3 stick)

Two weeks from now, we are going to try and run a 2v2 tournament for fun. Definitely should try to make it down for that.
I think I’ll check out the tupperware solution for the box. Does it have to be a madcats 360 controller? or can you do it with a standard box controller?
I actually do plan on coming down this Friday unless something drastic happens to stop me from it. What level of play are you guys all on?
You can do it with a standard Xbox controller but they have twice as many solder points, the solder points are underneath this covering you need to scrape off, their is no common ground, I might not be able to get the triggers to work, meaning only 6 buttons, they’re more expensive, etc etc.
I can get the Madcatz controllers for around $15-20 and they work like gangbusters.
Id say that the core of us have a solid grasp of the game. A few newer people that could use some help but none the less, will film this week and post some vids of the matches =D
We have a really solid 5 players who understand the mechanics, can execute pretty well and are on what I’d like to think is a somewhat high-ish level of play (for how much time we’ve put into it). We’re obviously not pros but we can definitely put up a pretty good fight. It would be great to see you there.

Hi guys. Sorry I haven’t been around for forever. Been busy with school and family drama. Good news though: I’m setting up a 8-16 man tournament at Hastings for Saturday, November 2. Details are not quite worked out yet, but i’ll be working on it in the next few days. I’ll post when I have more info. But any suggestions are welcome. I will be bringing my 360, and it will be a sf4 tourney, but if I can get enough blazblue players, I might be able to throw that on top too. I have one tournament edtion stick, one fight pad, and two regular 360 controllers, and I have no problem letting people use my stuff, but if you are more comfortable on your own stick/pad, you are more than welcome to bring your own.
