*sadly, I’ve already hit the early limit on uploads. It starts with 21 “Create Spots”. You get more space as you level up though…according to a discussion I saw at the gamefaqs board, apparently you get 5 more spots for hitting 1000 create xp or going up to certain level milestones. I unpublished my Ulquiorra since it sucks compared to what I could make now with all these extra pieces I’ve unlocked…so a new Ulqy will appear later.

heh, I haven’t even played Blur…but I’ll say it’s unlikely any racing game will ever tear me away from Modnation. The creation aspect alone basically kills everything else, since the potential character/kart roster is ridiculously huge as a result. It’s surprising what can be done in terms of character design. I haven’t messed with track creation that much though. I’ll make my 2nd track later tonight though, since I’ve unlocked a ton of track-creation stuff after beating Grand Tour finale.
One great thing to me is that it’s NOT just characters… they went ahead and allowed us to create these karts and tracks too. This is like a dream game for the creative/art major types out there like myself…even though the re-creation of existing characters hardly counts as “original”, it’s still fun. (…and I do have my original character ideas of course. When it comes to an online community though, other folks rarely care about someone’s original creation…this is why games like this will always yield tons of Spiderman/Mario/Ironman/Hulk/Cloud/Sephiroth/Ichigo/Goku/etc.)
One thing about the original vs. famous character issue… I just don’t get why people would want to play this as Mario. Mario has been in an obscene # of games already…to say this character is “overexposed” would be an understatement. Now, the lesser-known enemies of that universe…see that makes more sense to me. If there was a good wizard hat, I’d make a Magikoopa (or “Kamek”…apparently that’s the named one. I wasn’t familiar with that specific magikoopa since he just happened to be in all the Mario games I never played or had an interest in. I was just looking up info on him earlier on the super mario wiki.)

Got in a couple matches today, was hella fun except for a bit of lag where I would suddenly get nailed by a sideswip via a kart that wasn’t next to me. Oh well, tight game, and there’s an outrageous amount of custom tracks that online hosts cycle through…

Just played this today, when compared to other Kart Racers the gameplay itself is lacking but, the character creation and other creation tools are pretty awesome.
I also started on an SRK kart…one problem I noticed though is that the stickers don’t all shrink proportionally if I shrink the entire logo. I’m confident I will figure something out.
Also, I just finished all the challenges for “Home Tour”… I did the last 2 at the same time…no wall hits AND taking out Drillbit then finishing first. Trying to beat Drillbit’s score is ridiculous though. It seems like the cpu can just arbitrarily say “Oh I have more points than you because I say so.” Last time he beat me by like 1000 points or less. There’s no way. Anyway, I unlocked the skull! Of course I had to make Death itself right away, along with a badass car for him…pictures later.
From the “Obscure Shit” file, I also made Stan the Bugman from Donkey Kong 3.
