1- "Him"
2- The main man GORT finally has an appropriate vehicle and it is absurdly cool. Gotta get dat ship, man…
3- Introducing The Legendary…BLOOD MAX. Yeah, it’s a magical bloody maxi pad that came to life one day…decided to get in on this racing thing. (*Yeah, I realize it’s probably not a good idea to upload that into the game server…haha, that might get “good grief” reported SO fast. Bloody Max will have to be left for offline adventures, sadly. )
4- Dookieman notices those flies on his head.
5- another picture of my nig BloodMax. haha, it’s so wonderfully disgusting… I love it. There’s another blood stain on its back.
The sense of speed is great. When your kart is in boost mode for awhile and at the fastest possible speed, there’s a nice blur effect going on. Heh, even faster than that is the Level 3 warp. This item opens a sort of wormhole through time/space. The effect and how this happens is probably THE coolest thing I’ve ever seen from a “kart racer”. Interesting thing is that someone can tailgate right into the wormhole with you and also be warped forward on the track. Coming out of the warp, you’ll appear with green flames on the ground from your kart…kinda like the Delorean from Back to the Future.(*though it had fire on the ground before slipping out of time, right? Heh, the last time I saw that movie was in the '80s.)
Difficulty might be off-putting to some people. The most surprising thing for me is that I’ve done a complete 180 on this issue. I was one of so many folks out there bitchin’ about how ridiculous the AI is in Career Mode…and yet here I am actually enjoying it now for the past 2 or 3 days. It still would’ve been more fair to everyone if they simply implemented a difficulty select option…folks that want a big challenge play Hard mode, and folks that want to cruise through the game play Easy or Normal— everyone wins this way, and there would be no complaints. I’m not sure why a developer would leave out difficulty-select these days, considering just about every home-console game out there since at least the 80s has different difficulties to choose. Most are complaining because Career Mode is needed to unlock a LOT of the creation tools for tracks, characters and karts…
…BUT, I think everyone has overlooked the fact that you DON’T actually need it! If you have online access, you have access to all parts. You would just download characters, karts and tracks that have whatever it is you haven’t unlocked yet. If the original creator left it “remixable”, well there ya go. Just use that thing as a base and you have circumvented the necessity of the Career Mode unlock.
If I were reviewing the game, I’d say it’s easily a 9 out of 10. I might pick up the PSP version as well, just so I can have a version of this game with me at all possible times… I love it that much.
*also, as you could tell in the links, there is Photo Mode so you can take high quality pictures of your creations from various angles, even during a race!(*probably not during online races against real people though) The online aspect is great fun too…probably moreso since other human players can’t do “questionable” things like the AI racers can…they’re working within the same rules you are. Oh, and custom-soundtrack is supported as well.
No one wants to play XP races, which is ModNation’s version of Ranked Match. This is because XP races only allow the use of the official ModNation tracks.
The people whining about “no games” are just wanting to get a high XP/Rank…which there is no reason for.
I also saw people complaining about not being able to find races, but that was generally in just the first couple of days after the game came out, because a lot of people were doing career mode, AND it was in the middle of the work week. Once this past holiday weekend hit, I saw a HUGE increase in the amount of people racing online - it’s way easier to find an online race now, even if you’re trying to race for XP.
Well, I’ll have to come back to making Ray Charles later…none of the hairstyles work, so it appears I’d have to do that with sticker, texture and height settings. haha, how great is that? Ray Charles’ driving around…perhaps I should make “TOUSENNNNNNN!” from Bleach and Stevie Wonder too. The concept of blind people driving/racing just cracks me up forever.
today, I made “The Stuff” and may upload that later. I didn’t just make it a blank white body though. (*referencing the '80s movie about white amorphous “stuff” that crashes to Earth, gets sold as a product and then goes horribly wrong in a sci-fi/horror way of course)
I also made Mayuri’s “bankai” spirit…Ashosogi Jizou! Picture later of course…along with a few original characters.
-recently unlocked a pirate hat…Capn’ Crunch is a no-go though, since there’s no “high collar” that would be necessary in his creation.
You can install games on a PS3? I know that fixes loading times on the 360, but I don’t game enough on the Triple to know shit about it.
Million, you’re too fresh with all these characters; it’s a shame I don’t know anything about the series. The only things I’m going to make once I’ve unlocked anything:
Tequila from Hard Boiled
The “Vintage” Kart Racer seen in the intro video (too tight)
and a ton of tracks.
thanks, Bleach is the only anime I’m even into right now…well, there’s Ikki Tousen-something but I’ve just gotten that for the violence and TnA aspect…haven’t really paid attention to full episodes + dialogue just yet. (*heh, just like how I’ve had Monster’s Ball and Swordfish on dvd for YEARS…have I actually watched either of those films from beginning to end yet? Nope.)
I’ve only made 1 track so far; it was just out of curiosity to see what’s possible…oh and I “remixed” one of the game’s official tracks later just to finish the requirements for a certain trophy(the one for remixing a character, kart and track). Heh, the “remix” was that I added a camel on the side of the road.
ooooh! Ideas keep hitting me:
-The Unabomber!!!
-Steven Segal (complete with a new police uniform)
-Oscar the Grouch
-also from Sesame St: The Count
-Tom from Toonami! (I’m sure there’s been a lot of those already)
-The Architect from Matrix Reloaded.
-the Michael Douglas character from Falling Down (“D-Fens”? Other than that which was on his license plate, I don’t recall his character ever being addressed by name.)
The odds/ends block for Cap’n Crunch is a bit of a problem. It’s unfortunate that you can only add those accessories/things to the character’s head. So, the best I could do was move the block(s) down to the jaw-line. This almost looks ok to me in a certain spot until the character starts moving his head. Since they are still bound to the head, of course those blocks move with him, which destroys the illusion of it being those high collars.
Word  I’ll have to check it out some time. I watched Bleach when they were trying to get … the black haired short girl out of spirit jail and fighting all those badass dudes (The guy with his little girl best friend comes to mind) but I really didn’t retain much… and I watched it in Spain, in Spanish.
I should be getting my internet in the next couple of days and popping online, so expect invites from me once I set my PS3 up with the PSN shit.
Edit: Someone needs to start making characters from the JSR and JSRF games.
I just finished making all 10 characters and their alternate outfits from Jet Moto 2. Gotta make Jet Moto 2 tracks sometime later. For now, I want to start making all the racers/cars from Wacky Races. Dastardly Dee and his Dog are too good.
I made a Captain America mod. I can’t get his “wings” on top of his head, to be white. It only allows me to have them the same color as the mask. Boo! I created a quick kart for him as well. I call it, Shield Slash.
They’re both remix-able, if any of you wanna make changes, go for it!
Million, your dookieman and nastywagon character/car remind of one of the most amazing boss battles ever: the great mighty poo from conker’s bad fur day/live & reloaded.

Which inspired me to make him in Modnation as well as a kart for him (Mighty poo-mobile). They are up for download if anyone wants them.
