I unlocked the hockey mask (managing to actually get 1st place against the cpu for a change!), so you know I had to make my own Jason Voorhees immediately:

…just made the Shyguy from super mario 2…I also unlocked a heart as an engine?! This game is too awesome. That heart will definitely be added to Jason’s car.
Fucking shit is impossible. I’d hate to contribute to such a “questionable” business tactic, but if they just uploaded a DLC that unlocked everything for a price, I’d buy it. This game quickly approaches “Battletoads”-level difficulty on the goddamn career mode. Fuck that, I just want to create things.
HELL YEAH I just beat that son of a bitch! FIRST PLACE, BABY YEAH. The pitiful thing is that’s still “early” in the game.
whoah, I just beat Iceman on the first try…that was crazy. The suspense was delicious. FIRST PLACE finish.
Leaving weapons behind you in “landmine” mode seems to be more useful than shooting forward. It seems much more likely to hit the cpu opponents if you’re already in front and just drop something behind ya.
The blue soundwave weapon still seems a little ridiculous, imo. I’ve moved over to the sides of the road and it STILL gets me. Shield doesn’t seem to stop it either.
The Iceman race was the only fun Elite race (The dance battle scene before the race was too good). All the other Elite races past the first 2 are painful.
A lot of the level 3 weapons are fucking broken, though. I have had full boost meter, had the CPU shoot a Level 3 Hydra barrage at me, I timed the shield perfectly and blocked the first 5 or so missiles, and the rest obliterate me. Or the Level 3 Sonic Wave shit… I’d shield the one that tries to hit me first perfectly, but then the wave in front of me will still catch and hit me because I was going to fast. Basically, I block the first, catch up with the second in front of me and collide into it.
Kinda fucked up…

Ninja Edit: And I just found out that if someone has a level 3 Warp and uses it, you can actually WARP WITH THEM by jumping through the green wormhole before it disappears. Can you say, HOLY FUCKING SHIT SO MUCH WIN AND FUCKING GODLIKE?
I’ve been told the racing in this game isn’t to great for a Kart Racer, but the making custom things is.
well, glasses look stupid on a character no matter what, apparently. It’s a shame…that ruins my plans for an “Aizen Sosuke with the glasses” mod. It’s odd that they decided to not allow you to change the size of this particular item. Eh, what the hell…I made him anyway, giant goofy glasses included.

also got the lolipop, wooden-wagon and log wheels recently. I’ve been playing this game all day now…despite the controller-slamming difficulty of certain challenges, I just can’t tear myself away from this game. ohhhh and it’s a 3-day weekend for me…I’m enjoying life right now.
*it would be nice if you could have the enemy AI use your created characters/karts. I wouldn’t mind the computer being so godlike unbeatable if it’s currently playing as my Aizen Sosuke character.

I’ve been just going back to old races to get tokens lately, because I have absolutely NO hope of ever beating Career Mode. You’d need help from God Himself to even have a shot at beating it. Grim Tour was the Game Over for me. Hopefully game saves can be traded/shared over the net, or if that doesn’t work…the company could later put up a DLC “unlock everything” for purchase. I hate to support such a “questionable”, asshole business tactic, but I care more about creating cool stuff than beating Career Mode. The 10 or so people out there in the world that do manage to beat it probably will never play that asinine bullshit ever again.

1x slot seems to be random little items
2x slot = engines.
5x car bodies
I figure this is fairly important for a new player since the career mode is so ridiculous, you more than likely WILL reach a dead end at some point…and you will only have whatever that # of tokens is to work with. haha, I recently went back all GODLIKE on those first few races though. It’s like the difference between my playstyle is night and day at this point…the AI cheapness forces you to improve to surprising levels. My character had such a lead on this one track, he could’ve ordered a pizza and finished eating it before the 2nd place guy showed up.

I just made such an awesome Mayuri from Bleach. It took a lot of accessories and stickers on the head and body, but the result is probably the coolest thing I’ve made in the game so far…pictures will be posted very soon. His kart is nice and revolting, so it’s perfect.

There’s actually been a slight change already…I just realized those pictures are from this morning. I went back in there and made pupils for the eyes. It was quite satisfying to finish that… Mayuri’s oddball head obviously requires quite a few accessories and “stickers”. I may adjust the mouth a bit more later.

I actually beat that stage in Grim Tour mode…moved on to what I guess is…4-6? It’s “Sinkhole”. Surprisingly, I beat that one on the 2nd or 3rd try…it actually wasn’t nearly as difficult as previous levels.

haha, I just made Mojojojo from Powerpuff Girls. I’m sure most of the characters from that cartoon would easily transition thanks to the similar art-style in this game. Pictures later of course. His cart so far is the “Magic Mojo Mower”…a lawnmower with a magical engine…

*I’m actually almost done with Grim Tour! The races where you absolutely HAVE to get 1st place to advance are still tense though. One small mistake and you may as well restart immediately, because there’s really no such thing as a “comeback”.
…and yeah, the level 3 Warp Wormhole is one of the most awesome little things I’ve ever seen and dealt with in a racer. I actually did piggy-back on a cpu racer’s warp yesterday, and it was indeed glorious. Another great moment… I messed up and was surely going to speed off a cliff…but I hit level 3 Warp while falling and it saved me! That is SO badass.
aw hell yeah! With Mojojojo, I finally beat Mayhem Tour Finale!!! It’s sick and masochistic, but it’s like I’ve become one of those folks that thrives off some insane difficulty in a game. I can’t even imagine enjoying this any other way now…knowing any little thing could’ve ruined it all even as I was seconds away from the finish line in the #1 spot…those yellow posts(the “modbots”?) popped up WITH a flame-trap on the left side…obviously there’s not a lot of time to think about that situation… I somehow drove between all the yellow posts that sprang up…PERFECTLY. I wish I was recording that at the time…damn that was epic, edge-of-your-seat action. It was indeed perfectly navigated apparently, as I also got that race-achievement for avoiding all yellow modbots. I’m so pumped right now…
*cool…that unlocked “Monster” voice type, along with a few clothing items. For finishing the race, it unlocked some track editing props/items.
*edit–also made a new “shyguy” from Super Mario 2 recently. The new one is more accurate since I actually have a “hood” for the characters now (thanks to the cool Skeletor someone made that I downloaded)
Grand Tour is rough of course, but I’m slowly making progress thru it as well…1st GT stage just barely finished 3rd a few minutes ago… I actually thought I had lost…I fell off the cliff (which is the main point of difficulty on this particular stage…you can fall off the edge in SO many places there). A pack of cpu karts zoomed past as my cart was reset… someone launched a level 3 lightning blast though… I turbo-boosted to the line seeing my rank as “4th” the whole time…but then on the results screen: “3rd”!!! It was amazing…3rd place dude got fucked up by the lightning RIGHT THERE at the line…so I passed and got 3rd place by milliseconds. Like I said…edge-of-your seat, tense action, folks. This game is fantastic.

someone at gamefaqs uploaded a “unlocked everything” game save that appears to be legit… I haven’t tried it yet though, since I’m actually close to beating Career Mode myself and you don’t actually need to for all the parts anyway. (*everyone seems to be overlooking this simple fact. If you can get online, you can get everything by just downloading stuff other people created…for example; I don’t have the top hat…but I have it now after downloading someone’s Mr. Peanut character today. If I needed to use a top hat for a character, I could go and remix Mr. Peanut into something else while keeping the hat…save that as a new character and there ya go.)

I should be able to figure something out for that very soon…I started by moving one of the beards over to the right side of his face and changing the color, and adding accessory parts on top of that which are also colored accordingly to try making this bone-mask component. So far it’s still looking like some jagged blocky mess though…like he has white legos stuck on the side of his face.

Also, I’ve made the “bloody maxi pad” character just now, and it’s cracking me up how disgusting this looks. I doubt it’s safe to publish that online, but of course I’ll have pictures later… I even have the appropriate maxi-pad texture, and there’s a dead fly next to one of the messy parts.
