heh, I’m so addicted already… I’d like to leave work early today just to continue playing/creating Modnation…dammit, by the time I get on tonight or tomorrow, others will have likely beaten me to the punch on making certain characters from other games/cartoons/comics/etc. I didn’t get online last night because a certain annoying “friend” happens to be off on Wednesdays, and of course I was “dodging” him at the time.
hmmm… Mr. Magoo, Stanley the Bug Hunter (hardly anyone knows this character though…he was in place of Mario for Donkey Kong 3), Mezmeron from the Pacman cartoon, White Dino Thunder Ranger(“Abare Killer” in the japanese version), Mokujin from Tekken, Max Headroom, the bad guy from Rocky & Bullwinkle, Mr. T, Sadddam Hussein, Hitler, Mojojojo! hah, Mojojojo should be a fun one… I have to start that one immediately after work today…
Notorious B.I.G might be an interesting one too…and since he always looks like it to me…this also reminded me of Baron Greenback from the Dangermouse cartoon…yeah…maybe Penfold and Dangermouse might be possible too…
You COULD create all that stuff… but it would get deleted pretty quickly. There’s a reporting function called “Good Grief” for any R-rated stuff - I imagine it wouldn’t take long for those to disappear, and possibly even block your account, I don’t know.
I’ve seen the loading screen with the info on the “Good Grief” command a few times, and it’s actually hilarious - the example picture is of a completely naked Mod, cheering with a censor box blurring out the naughty parts.
tell me why my copy of ModNation that I ordered from goHastings arrived in the mail today… yet the rep I talked to yesterday told me that it was gonna be like 2 weeks.

I’m sure people have made 100s or even 1000s of Megaman characters by now since that (at least the “classic” part of the franchise) fits so perfectly with this game’s overall design aesthetic anyway, so of course that category goes without saying. I have to admit there is some temptation to make characters from Megaman 3(this is actually the only Megaman game I’ve played extensively and loved), even though I’m sure it’s been done a thousand times over by now. The “Doc Robots” have different bodybuilds though and probably cannot be created in this game.
*ooh, if there is a “rollers in the hair” character part/accessory, I must create “Big Worm” from that movie Friday…

That’s actually one of the things I really like about it - it’s quite a bit harder than I was originally expecting it to be. The challenges are tough, especially the grudge matches… but it’s good, because when I actually beat something, it’s a lot more meaningful here than just winning another basic race in some other kart racer.
Are you having trouble with Hale’s regular race, or his grudge match? The grudge match is a beast - you’ve really gotta try and seperate yourself from his pack of thugs, and even then, I barely beat him by like .1 seconds.
I had trouble beating the regular race, but I did it… except I didn’t get all 3 objectives so I didn’t unlock the grudge match.
I’ve got a tons of ideas for tracks and mods/karts that have not been done yet… I just gotta finish the crippling career mode 100% (wish me luck!) to unlock all the shit I need to customize my stuff.
By the way, y’all, my offer still stands on the extra new copy of Modnation that I have. I will keep this offer going for one more week. After next Friday, I’m returning this bitch if no one cops it.

I published him and the “Zephyr” kart, which is just a Camaro with not much done to it.(*also considered “That Other System” as the kart’s name) It would be funny if some folks actually get offended by that silly shit. Heh, I’m having fun racing around as that character, actually. Oooh and it looks PERFECT when he gets that green boost! It matches the color scheme, of course.
Online is awesome man…in a last-second boost, I managed to snag a 2nd place finish in a race tonight.
—someone made an incredible Jason Voorhees… I forgot the dude’s name but I had to download that immediately. The level of detail is amazing.
*hell yeah I just unlocked a cape! New possibilities arise…
