What I meant was, I saw this and assumed it was just a PSN arcade game, and wouldn’t be too expensive since it doesn’t look like the rest of the $60 releases coming out. Then again, I guess LittleBigPlanet was $60.

Less than 24 hours to go before I’m finally able to pick up my copy of this! I wish my store was one of the ones doing a midnight launch, but alas, I’m stuck waiting until the store opens in the morning.
Hopefully it won’t be too difficult to port stuff over from the demo to the retail game - I know they said you can keep everything you build in the demo, which I’m quite thankful for!

Got it, thanks. I really like this game, but DAMN the load times are annoying, Also, it’s lame you have to go back to the modspot after every career race.
They are going to improve the load times with a patch coming real soon. You can also access everything from the start menu once you reach ModSpot. You don’t have to drive to get where you want to be.
Ugh, unlocking stuff in this game just isn’t worth it. Why did they make career mode challenges stupidly hard? I do great the entire race and always get nailed by 5 or 6 powerups in a row right near the end. You gain shield/boost way too slow to block these effectively. I really wanted to have fun with the creator tools, but if I have to go through this crap to unlock more than half the stuff in this game then forget it.
It’s instantly the greatest racer of all time. I’ve had it on ever since getting home from work today, and that was several hours ago…and I’ve only made 2 characters and 1 kart!

There’s so many folks I want to put in here, from Boogerman to Viewtiful Joe and others from that franchise, a Magikoopa, maybe some obscure shit like Aero the Acrobat or a Pooka from Dig Dug, Dr. Ogenki, more shit/piss/boogers/snot/jizz related characters, AIDS, Red Knight from Castle Crashers, Chucky, Mr. Myxzlplk or however ya spell that, etc. etc. etc. The list goes on forever.

and yea some of the challenges are a real pain in the ass but im still just loving the ridiculous pace of this game
I’ve upgraded “Duuki” a bit, and put the #“2” sticker on his back with a new (brown, of course) jacket. Career Mode is tougher than I thought… I’ve failed to make it into the top 3 on the race against “Drillbit” like 3 or 4 times now…one time I HAD it…I was in first place, but of course they hit me with that blue Warp effect item and suddenly I was in 5th or 6th. I had enough energy for shield but I’m still getting used to the timing on that…so far it’s not easy to know exactly when that move is going to hit.
Other characters to make:
Ronald McDonald? Gremis, Hamburglar, The Original Green Ranger, The Little Koala, Spaceman Spiff (Calvin & Hobbes)? Invader ZIM, POOP DOG!, Gir, Tattoo from Fantasy Island, Inspector Gadget, a Teletubby, Frankenberry, Papa Smurf, etc.
I’m also wondering about censorship issues, since you can make so many things…AND we can use letters and numbers and all kinds of symbols… like what if someone made Jesus with “HOLY FUCK!” written on his magical little car? Or, how 'bout a “Pussy-Hole Car”? I’m sure that’s possible with the symbols that are available… heh, that gives me another twisted, disgusting idea for a character…
