- Backwards Clown Guy.-- I kinda rushed thru this one simply due to some excitement over the concept itself… I should’ve made it a lot more creepy than it currently is.
2.the Bookie Bus.–name subject to change of course… that was a silly “placeholder” name.
3. Thwomp in a Suit. I have to admit I stole the idea for making a Thwomp from someone else though…I saw they used the paper back and the pyramids for spikes.

ok, I was finally able to check out the PSP version in person… and that saved me some money. It was a terrible 1st impression to say the least. It looks nice… as long as you aren’t actually racing, heh. Best Buy had this set up on the psp kiosk. What the hell happened to the speed?! I noticed this in the youtube vids, but it was sadly confirmed when I actually played it on the kiosk. It’s downright criminal what they did here. It’s like comparing the high-powered sports car that is the PS3 version to the bootleg Smart Car that some shady auto dealer is trying to pass off as a new “compact” Aston Martin or somethin’. At no point did it look like my car was going fast…it’s like you’re a little kid in a “Power Wheels” on the sidewalk trying to keep up with someone in a sports car. It was just sad. Any new people that happen to read this, please avoid the portable version and just get the ps3 version.

*ah, it appears they are adding a “Casual” difficulty option in Career Mode. I forgot how much of the challenges I have done by this point, but it’s probably most of them with several grudge matches complete. Oh! I just remembered I still don’t have all the tokens yet… I’d get on that right now if I wasn’t so damn tired from work.
I haven’t played this in awhile though thanks to other games, but I still have so much more stuff to create…like “Piss Pot Pete”, various STDs made into characters, and all kinds of “in poor taste” things that would not last long online if published.
Haven’t posted here in a while. Just started playing this again. Too good.

Today was my first time playing in probably a few weeks. The recent update apparently boosted the Create XP quite a bit. Suddenly I got an extra 1000 from 1 of my creations, then all the others that had been downloaded were bringing in 100 points a piece…there were about 40-something messages I had where the game was telling me about this updated information…so just by going online today I was bumped up to level 22. hehe, nice.
I can’t find my usb drive at the moment, so I don’t have high quality pictures unfortunately, but my latest creation is Duke E. Greene: ModNation? Racers - DUKE E. GREENE

Here are the more detailed images of my new character Duke E. Greene and the Bookie-Bus: ImageShack Album - 5 images My other Crap-Allstars? were of the brown variety, so of course I had to throw a green one in there. It’s amazing to see the level of detail one can get with the characters and karts in this game, especially when you view the snapshots on a computer screen. This character looks absolutely disgusting…vile, repugnant, nasty…exactly what I was going for. I’m having fun with this one already.
*idea----ooooh, what about an Al Gore character, complete with a “Sex Poodle” car…YES. (*may have to be “S-Poodle1” something like that to get around the censor.) I must make it…in fact I may start that one up right now… I’ve already saved 2 or 3 pics of Al for reference.

Yeah, was fun. I thought that was your strategy, not doing the quick-start, cause you beat me twice!

well, I don’t see much of a difference in Casual mode…
Anyway, I went back to “Drift Paradise” for the #2 and 3 challenges, and that shit is still impossible to me. If you go for Wall Ride points, then say goodbye to 1st place. Sheeeit, say goodbye to FIFTH place. Going for those points means you’re taking the slowest damn path for the entire race…and it seems like Jez has “Speed + 10” + infinite boost whenever she feels like beating you by a good 10 to 12 second margin. I can either race “for real” and get 1st OR I can get the goddamn 4000 Wall Ride points and come in 5th or worse.
I’ll try with some different kart setting later, but this is still as frustrating as the last time I tried it back when I was “new” to the game.

Making a realistic face is more difficult than I imagined in this game, so Gore has a typical cartoon mod-face right now that isn’t really accurate. It will take much more time but I’ll go for a realistic Al Gore face later. I made the car first since I just unlocked the solar panel engine recently.
I should’ve gotten the Air Raid DLC when it was advertised. Sadly, I cannot edit any airplane body-type karts that are downloaded, apparently because I never got the Air Raid dlc. Even if the person left it “remixable”, the game won’t allow me to edit it.
The next Play/Create/Share thing----> I need one for the “beatemup” genre! Come on Sony, or whoever…MAKE IT HAPPEN. Please make it happen. I think a similar cartoony style (perhaps slightly larger body types though for more detailed fighting) to Modnation would work perfectly. I’d love every minute of it…designing the hero characters, the enemies, bosses, the stages, weapons, special/super moves, perhaps even the look of the powerups… vehicles too? It would be legendary…basically a new Streets of Rage/Final Fight/etc. where YOUR creations are the stars of the show once again. Someone out there please make this happen.

The update has gotten me back into MNR big time. I played it a ton yesterday. I grabbed all the DLCs and they’re all awesome. I like that Nukular mod.
I’m liking the boosts to Create XP. 250K for the trophy is still too much, though. Now if only they boosted the amount of XP you get fro placing top 3 in races. Getting first only nets you 74 right now, which is crazy if you’re in your 20s trying to get to the next level.
