I’m trying to make two tracks each from Jet Moto 2 and 3, then upload all of my Jet Moto stuff as one big pack for everyone to download. The track editor is killing me, though. It’s hard as fuck to use, imo. Taking me some time to figure out how to make a track like **[media=youtube]q5dsfCiyPv8]Jet Moto 2’s Aftershock[/b[/media] in MNR. Sooooooooooo hard.
Once I finish the Jet Moto 2 pack. I’m gonna start working on a Twisted Metal Black pack. It will be glorious.
I’m scrapping the Wacky Races ideas. Some of the cars in that show are too insane and cannot be made in MNR. I was only able to do Mr. Overcompensating-For-A-Small-Johnson himself, Peter Perfect and the Turbo Terrific.
I finished Magma Man from Mega Man 9 a week or so ago… I just need to publish him and put some pictures of him up online. I think that’s it for the MM9 Robot Masters for a while. I REALLY want to finish the Jet Moto 2 dream pack and start working on the TMB dream pack. swoons

I HAD to have Espresso’s helmet, so I simply got it the roundabout way by downloading someone’s “Espresso” character that was left remixable…and oh yes, that helmet was absolutely crucial in bringing the legendary Leonard, Part 6 into the world of Modnation!
Before I start the TMB dream pack, I need to make me some **[media=youtube]A22F8S2maWE#t=1m16s]9[/b[/media] characters. The movie was arse, but the trailers were sooooo good.
I’ll make a few, then start the TMB mods, karts, and maybe tracks based off of some TMB maps.
I also want to make [media=youtube]_4enDmuDbhw#t=0m55s]**Evangelion[/b[/media] mods… The Evas themselves, not the pilots. Berserker Eva Unit 01 would look beastly.
man, Leonard part 6 has been like a good luck charm or something… I’ve been on a roll tonight beating a few challenges and 3 grudge matches without much trouble.
heh, or it could be my new settings— I’m on +1 Acceleration, +1 Drift now. Theoretically, faster acceleration would become more and more important as the frequency of item/weapon usage goes up. It’s such a difference from before…I’ll take a hit and I’m back up to decent speed in no time. Eh, still… I don’t like being cutting back on that top speed though. I find myself using boost more often to try and compensate for the gimped top speed…it’s such a tough decision between those 2 stats, imo. I may change it to “0”.
+1 Drift is definitely the way to go though…at least in my opinion. There’s 1 track…Boardwalk or Marina or something…it has an incredibly tight hairpin turn about midway thru.(you could slide off into the water if not careful) Ever since I changed the setting over to +1 Drift, I can actually make it around that corner easily with continuous drift now. With +1 Handling, there was no way.
The game blatantly bullshitted me online last night. If only I was ready to take a picture as proof…
I clearly crossed the finish line in 1st place. It clearly showed that beautiful blue “1st” on my screen as the character went into his “#1” celebratory dance and poses. Results screen comes up and it says I’m “2nd” place. This was NOT a Series, so it’s not like there were points involved here from previous races. It was a single XP race, and it showed me as the 1st place. The race was clearly over…but the results screen decided “nah, I’m making you 2nd place…because I’m an asshole like that.” Bullshit, man…apparently lag can factor into the results of a race as well (the game goes “1st!..oh wait, no you’re actually 2nd place. Oops.”)? It happened again a few races later when I finished in 2nd place, then the results showed I was in 3rd place.
-funny character I saw last night— “Super Pennis”. I’m guessing he published it specifically to see how fast (or if) it will be banned.
-Freeza finally hit 10 downloads so I got that trophy…it seemed like a bad luck charm for me though. I decided to play as Freeza for a few races, and everything went sharply downhill for me. Every possible thing that could go wrong in a race was happening. I’m sure my neighbors heard some “colorful” language as a result.
-“Hot RROD” got a new “360” Jeep kart…it’s nice and bulky like “that other system”. Ooh…that’s an idea for what to put on the other side, or maybe the back of the kart…“That Other System?” (*disclaimer—it’s just a silly cheapshot remark, folks…please calm down and laugh for a change in life. I remember that certain srk folks take the system wars commentary a little too seriously at times.)
-oh yeah, and I made another vehicle for Booger-Bear…I have dubbed this new wonderful creation…“The Snotbox”. Pictures later.
why the hell does this game get hardly any love on this board? It appears I’ve jinxed the hell out of yet another game. I suppose it’s a mixture of that and the fact of most gamers today having no taste. They wouldn’t know a good game if it slapped them in the face. Most people lack creativity and imagination as well, so the customization aspect isn’t a significant selling point for them.
I now have at least 2 friends (and one who already has) who want to buy a ps3 because they like this game so much. Thank god this game has 4 player splitscreen. Really wish this game supported system link though. Maybe in a patch later?

AI cars are 10000000000000x faster than you and have 1000000000000000x acceleration. You only pass them when they happen to get hit by something, and there’s 40 billion goddamn obstacles all over this piss-ass Down-Syndrome ass stage. No other race in the entire game appears to be this hard, not even the “grand finale”. Fuck this garbage.
I forgot how I cleared all 3 challenges and got 1st place. I do remember that it was a straight bitch, though.

Seriously, we need to set a time to get a SRK race series going on. Not sure if I posted this before, but I’ve downloaded some epic tracks that we could use for a race tourney/series. I can tally up points and at the end of the series, whoever has the most points wins. You don’t get shit for winning except bragging rights until the next series. If y’all are into the prizes shit, I guess I can make a mod/kart for the winner. The mod/kart would show that they’re the winner of SRK MNR Series 1/2/3/4/5/etc…
There is potential for so much fun to be had. Post up and let me know you’re interested, people.

Man, over and over I tried (for hours), but it’s just not happening. I can get 2nd place on Mt. Pain, but that’s it. On most other races it’s just the 1 named “elite” racer you really have to worry about, but on Mt. Pain, EVERYONE is a “named elite”, and everyone seems to have +100 speed, +100 acceleration, along with +100 to speed and handling too…along with more apparent boost energy than normal. There’s no way around it, you’d need some luck here (*like having a level 3 Hydra during the last few seconds before rounding the corner to the finish line, on top of already being in at least 4th WITH boost energy) in addition to skill. Seriously, I’m pretty sure the cpu characters (all of them!) on this particular stage have stats that go beyond what you can set on your kart, along with better and/or more boost energy. Besides that, you also have to worry about barrels (that sometimes stop in a particular section of the road as if they’re waiting just for you.) those smaller barrel-things that slow you down, the jumping modbots, those posts that stick up out of the ground + a “punch” machine in the same area, falling or getting bumped off a cliff, or off the bridges, or off the moving platforms, at least 2 shortcuts that don’t really mean a goddamn thing, warp being absolutely useless when the computer decides it is, more punch machines, and tight corners where the cpu will easily pass you again…and I’m sure there’s probably other things I’ve forgotten. Yeah, fuck all that. I’m done with Mt. Pain, possibly forever.
haha, Dolor sucks. That dude must’ve been the easiest grudge match in the whole game…first try I destroyed that guy, and he wasn’t even close…I had over 10 seconds of a lead on him if I recall. His sideswipe challenge before opening the grudge match was the real bitch though… I must’ve tried and failed that at least 20 times before beating it.

Pretty much. I have more interest experiencing tracks people put together rather than making them. One day, though.

A few more series/races and I’ll hit 5000 general xp (XP Series grants a LOT if you’re doing well), which I think grants extra creation slots? That’s the main thing I was racing for (besides the fun), actually. I’d still like it if there were certain items/prizes for hitting xp or “level” milestones. It would give a more solid reason for folks to keep racing online.

*I’m still amazed by how easy the Dolor grudge match was…it’s almost like I was playing a different game. Nothing has been that easy in this game since the Home Tour. It’s such a wild change…the “sideswipe Dolor in the village” was another one I had to restart over and over a million times before getting it…then the grudge match happens and that dude never even had a chance.
*also changed my speed stat to +2… I’m liking it so far, but once again, I’ve used boost more often to compensate for the slow starts after losing that beautiful top speed. It’s such a delicate balance going on there with speed vs. acceleration. At least the Drift/Handling stat is an easy decision for me… +1 drift all the time.
Okay, I’m too excited about these TMB mods. Fuck it, I’m uploading them one at a time, as soon as I finish them. These are too good not to share asap. My Dollface/Darkside is EPIC looking.
Just hope I have enough space for these and the Jet Moto mods, or else I’ll have to unpublish my Mega Man 9 mods and maybe even my SRK Kart. Fuuuuuuuuuck!!!

I finally checked for some footage of the psp version, and man it looks “rough” to say the least: [media=youtube]kVtT1XeamjY[/media] I know it obviously can’t be visually on par with the ps3 version…it would be silly to expect that, but I think they took too much of a hit on the graphics and overall presentation. As that reviewer said, it doesn’t even look like they’re going fast in any of that footage, whereas the sense of super-speed is conveyed nicely in the ps3 version due to all the fancy schmancy blur effects and actual speed at which the character zooms through the environment. I also remember reading on some forum that you can’t even change colors on some (or all?) customization pieces, which is a real shame. Maybe it could’ve been sharper if they dropped the cinema scenes entirely, or cut it back to just images with text since the story isn’t really important anyway.
