I’m with @mikros on this. Hand animated physics could have the personality of the classic games. Compare 3s to 5. 3s animates beautifully with a ton of character and little things that show a lot of love went into the game. With the phony looking shit models in 5 adding soft body shit rag doll physics looks like dog shit on top of a pile of cow shit. Vega’s sash constantly clips through his knee in his idle stance. His fucking idle stance. Capcom couldn’t get that shit right? Everyone can see that at the start of every match and throughout gameplay.
The other thing that bugs me is they have this garbage shit physics going on but then Ryu’s hair does. Not. Move. At all. Neither does his pants. His pants don’t move. Come on! Signature character, practically the face of Capcom at this point!
I’m so glad I paid for an alpha state game.
Anyone seen overwatch? Shits gorgeous, no clipping, characters are animated with a ton of little details, huge levels with much more detail than anything in the backgrounds of 5, has a solid near 60 fps even with a full arena and tons of shit going on, oh and it loads fast, too. Oh yeah, and the build available is still beta status. What the fuck capcom?
Revelator is much more than jut a revision.
The game changes and improves a lot on the graphics side of the game

It looks like they tweaked the shading on the models. Sol’s legs are a good example of it. Unfortunately, I prefer the classic hand painted background look rather than the dynamic global lighting. I don’t think it looks great in the game when the characters have static lighting but then the backgrounds have their own global lighting. It kind of takes away from the point of making it 3D but looking like old school cel animation.
Good to see they’re actually trying to do some work in their updates.
Man, you know that you are my niggah, but just because for YOU is not important, it doesn’t mean that is a dumb thing to complain.
Yes clipping is not really a pressing matter, when they have other stuff to fix that can affect gameplay in a negative way.
But seeing the graphics clipp even on the vs screen is bad, the game has fame of being incomplete, and that kind of stuff only gives that notion more credence.
If a casual comes, see that stuff (combained with the horrible graphics and 3d models) and they dismiss the game i wouldn’t blame them.
It gives a bad impression, it makes people believe that capcom simply doesn’t care about the game.
Can the PC version be modded to remove those background waving arm “inflatable tube men”?
As for the baiting, teenage gooey hands spandex man advocating incorrect abuse of spam flags:
The spam button is only for spambots.
It doesn’t do anything else, it doesn’t alert mods. It won’t get topics closed or people banned.
Admit you don’t know what it does. You made up your own reason to click it. You feel better after you do it.
That should also be explained in every forum. Due to rampant misuse and constant misuse by people who don’t learn even after being told. People who make up new reasons to do dumb shit like that.
NOBODY should be clicking spam for anything but spam posts by spambots.
[details=Spoiler]NOBODY should be gloating and flamebaiting for spam clicks when they know they clicked it dozens of times on another user, knowing full well that’s not what its for after being told by mods directly.
You could probably guess who has the most clicks on my account and maybe I’ll count them up one day for true clarity.

Oh and have PC modders also fixed the clipping? Easy enough, sometimes they show that off in screenshots, and maybe they finish for most characters before Capcom ever gets around to it and rolling their own fix out? I’d be on the lookout for that too.
I dunno, budget title KI had a major graphics overhaul post launch. They upped the resolution from 720p to 1080p, and the past season they “upgraded” the lighting (some may not think it looks better, but they called it an upgrade).
A budget FTP title can do all of this, so I’m sure Capcom can as well.
Oh wait … it’s Capcom we’re talking about here. They probably don’t even know how to fix it.
Nah, I mean I totally get it. Nobody likes clipping, it never looks good and it’s pretty bad in SFV. I’m just poking fun at the fact that it’s not something that warrented an entire thread, and could’ve just as easily been a post in any of the other already existing threads. I don’t see much point in this thread other than people coming in here and stating the obvious that clipping looks shitty in ANY game and nobody likes it.
Lol, you’ve been harassing me for 4 years. I give negative absolute fucks about how many flags I gave you. EVERYBODY was using the flag button incorrectly before mods put their foot down on the issue, don’t act like that was something exclusive to me just because of your massive butthurt.
What kind of colossal fuccboi does this and then consistently cries like this when he receives any kind of backlash? You can fuck right off.
Honestly the only one that particularly bugs me is the fact that birdie’s jacket clips through his back during some moves. I get the clipping at the bottom where it flaps around, it’s the upper back that I find weird.
That’s what I thought. I didn’t know the right terminology but I figured the back of the jacket doesn’t move, why wouldn’t they simply make it simply his back itself?
I remember that 2-3 months ago there was post in SFV lounge that some of Capcom’s test build had clipping issue fixed. And like purbeast’s link proved, it seems that it’s changed during beta phases.
So has there any official info about possible, upcoming fix?
