Thanks, I needed some clarification on that.
My Stick with modifications to improve it completely. Sanwa OBSF-30 buttons (replacing the crappy hori buttons) and the Stick is highly modified; Sanwa spring added, I replaced the lubricating grease with Walgreen’s Beeswax lipbalm (it works wonders), added stainless steel washers to elevate the shaft and to put it at a better height. Art done in photoshop CS5. Square Gate replaced by one original Sanwa and bat top. Future Mod - Adding Cherry Microswitches plus make it compatible with Xbox 360 by means of Imp + hacked pad of madcatz.

question. how do I go about making my stick compatible with 360 or should I just buy adapter to carry around with me when I go places to play
You can add a Madcatz gamepad from Gamestop and do the trigger hack and if you want an auto switch for dual modding just use Toodle’s Imp switch. Not that difficult to perform the mod, however you may have to work wonders with such tiny space.
Just ordered a JLF sanwa joystick and 6 seimitsu clear green screw ins,
cant wait to attempt this
One I did for someone:

Initially had green sanwas but changes them to dark hais. Changing the JLF - just countersink the holes in the right places after dremeling away some plastic inside the case for a flush mount. first pic here was just measuring some shaft heights and showing the cut off on with a datel ball top with an angle grinder for someone:

some guides damage the actual JLF making holes in them but I prefer this method.
First attempt modding, worked out alright should of bought a dremel though

green leds light up in button on activation
Just out of curiosity are those grey buttons stock or seimitsu? because ive never seen solid grey sanwa buttons.
Has anyone tried to paewang this? I would like to try but I don’t know if it is practical or not.
I do not yet have a FS3, so i cant open it to take measurements…but judging by everyone posting about their different versions of the JLF sticks, would it be safe to assume that i could replace the stock (hori or whoever made it) joystick with ANY JLF stick?
There is only one JLF.
Since there is only one JLF, and everyone replaces with JLF, that means a JLF will fit.
Would it be possible to use a paewang inside this? More thinking about the start/select buttons etc as the stock ones have no connects.
Can put Paewang inside, yes.
You will need to keep the stock PCB of Hori that does the Start and Select and whatever.
That will then be routed to the Paewang PCB.
Why wouldn’t it work?
They have a cable going from the daughter board to the main board, they have solder points.
ok cool, thanks for the info
So is it wise to say that I most definately need a solder if I get Sanwa buttons for my FS3 fightstick?
Yes.
You don’t NEED to solder… you can fit Quick Disconnects in there if you’re fine with bending the switch leads, its how I did my first FS3 mod. If you use a Cthulhu it would be an entirely solderless job. You are going to need a dremel though, or some kind of file.
Don’t you need to solder the wires to PCB even if use Quick Disconnect for Buttons?
Cthulhu comes with the screw down terminals. Would it be cheaper to buy a soldering iron and solder? Yes. But its possible to go solderless lol
