all white
i sprayed the gloss
its not really coming out like i wanted
we’ll see
ill keep you posted
i like this stick…
but then again the joy and the buttons are so close together…and its kinda loud =/
but overall great stick.
Hello. I’m trying to do something similar/the same thing to my stick. I’m not quite sure how the buttons come out.
From what it looks like, you would need to de-solder the buttons from the bottom of the PCB and the buttons will come free, after that, do the buttons use a standard micro switch or what?
I started a thread here mabey you can be of assistance, im dying to use my FS3, thank you.
whats good fellas
edit: the gray and white buttons are just filler till i get plugs
and paint em white
i might keep the button colors though
Nice! The white box looks good. Thinking about picking up a FS3, but kinda broke right now : (
Looking at the pics, the 2 Hori sticks for the 360 are about the same size, right? I’m planning on modding my FSEX2 (which is, of cours,e just the DOA4 stick with different art) with some Sanwa parts and a new underlay (especially since the “art” underneath will be ruined doing the mod) and want to make sure there’s enough room for putting the parts in without mossing the case. I don’t want to have the feeling that I utterly wasted $60.
Is it better to replace the metal plate with lexon or something when making the art underlay?
i dont know about replacing it with lexan… wudnt it just stick out?
ive thought about doing some art on my modded FS3 (pictured above) but i kant think of any solutions… ive heard peopel say glue…or some stuff like that… o.O but i also thought about lexan…but then it wud just stick above the box…
I’m mainly trying to figure out a way to get new art under there, due to the aforementioned oxidizing of the metal plate if there’s nothing there to protect it (like the sticker art). I imagine printing and laminating the underlay might work, then just gluing it to the plate, but that seems like it’d be kind of ugly.
How well does the LS-33 fit?
Paint’s not finished curing so, it’s not final sanded and buffed but still, this is an idea of what the hottest FS3 will look like:wgrin:
The final primer stage. The sealer stage came next.
Accelerating the drying with the heat radiating from my 24" monitor
Buttons not pushed all the way down and the panel is not screwed in because, the paint is still soft and I couldn’t wait to see the results.
^nice
Also what fits better ls33 or JLF?
WHAWHA-WE WHA!!
Is niiice
Question:
If I just want to replace the stick part and NOT the buttons, does that STILL require soldering?
Dude, these mods came out real nice. Has anyone put a LS-32 in theirs? I wanna use Seimitsu parts for mine.
ls 32 wont fit
i hear an ls 33 fits nicely
its alot smaller
Goddamit!
I already have a Sanwa stick. I’ll probably do it ghetto and put a ls-32 in there with spacers ::woot:
let me know if you need one ;x
Oh man I wish my crappy FS3 looked like that
