Modding the Blaze Twin Stick (Complete Photo Log!)

if the paint chips easily maybe you could paint the inside of the acrylic instead of the outside.

Absolutely fantastic. I love the buttons and the art, and Ikaruga was a sweet game (yea Gamecube! F-Zero GX FTW as well!). Good work man.

try clean the acrylic with mineral turpentine…well, depends on which kind of glue u used

Re-bumping this thread

Since there is some interest in modding these sticks and recieved PMs about it. I thought that I’d start reviving this thread. If anybody else where to have ever mod this pain in the ass stick go ahead and post a picture. Copied from my old post in the Check out my Stick forum.

A Blaze Twin Stick mod. Could not pass up the stick when I saw it for $8. The shell alone was worth it.
Sanwa JLF and Crown Buttons. Crowns fit nicely in here without modding the stick. Coated with Duplicolor White Vinyl Dye. MC Cthulhu with Neutrik RJ-45. Yenox Hole plugs Vinyl dyed white, and some metal hole plugs from OSH for the Buttons in the center.
Either custom art is overrated or I’m lazy and cheap.

More recently I’ve added LS-33s mounted with the VF plate (left overs from LS-56-01s) to the twin stick to bring down the shaft height. VF plate and JLF wing mounting holes match up. Put in Home depot compression springs since LS-33 is way too weak of a spring for me. Also replaced with bubble tops. No pictures taken of the change.

Album

Looks great and I’m liking the colours.

any one have the dimensions of the stick? I wanna make my own artwork for the stick but mine is being shipped at the moment :wgrin: i just wanted to start on the artwork to kill some time.

Bump for an artwork template for this.

Nice Blaze Twin Stick Mod
