The two extra inputs, while not necessary, are a great help in getting the timing down so a Srnpusha doesn’t come out.

I still recommend :uf::qcb::k: for consistency. Sure, you may be slightly less than instant, but I’d rather get that than an accidental :uf::k:

Can someone lay out the general weaknesses of her Ultra. It’s been pissing me off lately. It only seems good to use while someone is attacking. It’s easily blocked on the ground. You can even be punished for it in the air with a hard kick or even just blocking upon landing. What are good times to use her Ultra besides upon a pending attack?

After a combo, in fact, you shouldn’t be doing the Ultra if is not in a combo. Either way, the timing is unforgiving and online it may fuck you even more than what it’s worth.

Seriously, her ultra is a fucking abomination.

Her Ultra’s timing is not hard at all, if you’re using the EX dive kick or LK dive kick to combo into it. For the latter, just keep in mind that it’s more difficult to land on larger characters. Cammy and Viper are piss easy to land it on.

Seriously, no one who uses Ultra 2 has a right to complain about it being “hard to land” when there are MUCH harder Ultras to combo into, including Blanka’s Ultra 1, Ken’s full Ultra 1, Akuma’s Ultra 2, and Fei Long’s Ultra 1. And a solid hit nets at least 400 damage in most cases, which is MUCH better than what most of the above can claim.

So Has anybody come up with any good and SOLID true ideas for OS’ with Juri. I have realized nobody has said anything about any as far as I know.

I obviously meant whilst fighting online… Anybody who isn’t suffering from some weird decease/motor-skills impairment should be able to time it fine.

And the fact that there are other Ultras harder to land doesn’t make Juri’s any less shittier. Anyway, time to hit the hay.

Who factors online play when judging how good or bad a move is?

And again, Juri’s Ultra isn’t bad at all. And hell, I won’t even subjectively compare it to other Ultras in the game. By its own merit, it has a number of useful setups for it that are all guaranteed with minimal timing and execution.

For a bison tele os or Back dash os (that my sweep wouldn’t punish
i usually do j fp qcb k so if they tele of back dash I get a pinwheel.

I can nail c.mk, pinwheel, super, really consistently; you can basically mash out the super motion if you’ve hitconfirmed the c.mk. You get the best damage from using a lk pinwheel and an mk super since that has the highest damage on the first hit. Just start doing the qcbx2 as soon as you’ve finished inputting the Pinwheel.

Huh? I’ve been doing qcb lk qcb lk to do pinwheel > super. You only need to do qcb twice, not 3 times.

But when the hell do you have meter for super? EX pinwheel is too good.

In most combos it only tacks on about 40 extra damage, but c.mk pinwheel super does 400 or so. It’s good for going through fireballs but it’s an absolutely awful reversal. Also, mk super does a ton more damage than lk super.

All 3 versions of super do 370 damage.

Juri meter building is pretty top notch with FB release chains, EX pinwheel is only good for damage which you can make up for by doing store-release chains into normal pinwheels outside of the corner

Any other techniques for fireball spamming. I haven’t tried the technique you just listed (it sounds very effective) but it sounds difficult to pull off, especially in the heat of battle haha. Plus, wouldn’t Ken just SRK as soon as you get close to him? I had the same problem with Guile. He just kept shooting Sonic Booms at me, and whenever I did get close I’d get punished. Projectiles are killing me! I hate that Juri’s fireballs have the small kick delay.

Some problems with Juri’s Ultra:

  • Easy to block if you’re next to it.
  • You can jump over it, and with good enough timing you can block upon landing.
  • Some crossover kicks in the air can stop Juri from doing the Ultra.
  • Your opponent can actually jump into the Ultra (right next to Juri) and not get hurt. When the Ultra occurs, Juri surrounds herself with her ‘purple power’ (I don’t know what else to call it >_<), but there’s a little gap around her that doesn’t have any purple. I’ve had people jump in right next to me and not be effected at all.

I’ve actually avoided using her Ultra now unless I’m in desperate health or if I do EX Shikusen in the air (because I can just hit them with the Ultra as they go down). I wish her Ultra was a little more efficient, even though damage-wise it’s great.
