There aren’t any as of EVO Build, and Twilight was the only character with a true DP as I recall.
I’d been thinking about that too, because there’s a Pinkie Pie player in my local community was a fucking problem when he got in back when we were playing around with EVO Build, my only real answer to it is play Twilight, which isn’t much of an answer.
The Canterlot Gardens version had tech rolling, that’s prolly the most advance defense mechanic in the game (that we know of).
Just chipped off $10 this afternoon too. Not much, but after buying textbooks, that’s about as much as I could afford.

Looks like the DevTeam has made a post about the vote. Good to hear that it sounds like the possibility of becoming an EVO tournament game shouldn’t affect the intended development process. Even if it doesn’t make it to main stage, it may appear again in the indie game area. A lot of the possible main games sound pretty good to me. I’m hoping for either FiM, Melty Blood (it’ll never happen 
), Skullgirls, or Melee (it certainly has a chance). Wonder how SFxT is gonna go down this time.
Honestly, Evo should just get rid of SFxT, and put the top two games from the donation drive in.
I sort of feel sorry for the other games on the listing and the people who play them, they don’t have a huge fanbase of people who play the game for the aesthetics.

Still think Rarity should be allowed to release D gems whilst in hit stun; what could possibly go wrong with being able to interrupt combos whenever you feel like?

I really want Fighting is Magic to win not just for the rage, which will be soo sweet but because the game is just plain good.
To make a good game on fighter maker is just plain amazing.

If we could have figured out a way to do negative edging then maybe that would have happened. Then we would have had to figure out another way to fix it 
Also I’ve been informed that early Rarity was able to fire off the hold gems during hitstuns. haha.
It’s even mentioned in the mane6 blog that she used to have that, but I didn’t want to point it out =3

what ph00tbag is saying is essentially my thoughts. i’m really backing melee but i wish both this and melee could get in the lineup. both are better than mortal kombat or SFxT, for me anyway.

Anyway I’d like to say thanks to all of you who donated (for anybody). And special thanks for those who donated to us, it means a lot that you believe in our little project that blew up way out of proportion! This whole thing - no matter how it turns out - is at least telling us that we are on the right track, regardless off all the insecure pony hatred!

Got to admit, The butthurt from some of the people regarding ponies actually having a chance to get into EVO is pretty funny. On the flip side of that coin though, a little saddening for a select number of individuals feel the need to garner so much hate for a pretty awesome fighting game that just happens to be about Ponies.
If FiM makes the grade, and if you don’t find it interesting, Simply just don’t tune in for the section that involves FiM, not that hard. It’s not even like this is going to be that hard, Seeing as there is 7 other games at EVO so it should pretty easy to avoid…
If there is one thing this website has shown me, it’s that I almost hope FiM gets in just to annoy people (I think the game looks good, if way too combo-heavy for my tastes).
I say almost, mind, since I donated for SCV to get in (it has no chance, but hey - it’s for charity).

i dont watch the cartoon but best case scenario would be:
-smash community empties their pockets to try to win the 8th spot
-MLP wins easily
-smash community explodes with rage
i honestly dont think people will mind MLP at evo, even if it takes stream time from other games like SFxTekken ( please do ) .
MLP will just generate some good laughs on stream, people wont bother hating it when its all over cuz whats the point of hating something that doesnt affect your life???

MLP Fighter gonna win is my bet. Any self-respecting fan probably spread the word around for a chance to promote the fanbase. Also since the winner is determined by $ total donated, not simply votes or popularity which helps this game chances alot in the donate $ scenario. Alot of the donators probably didn’t play fighters either but love the series. In any case i hope it wins since its the Dark Horse of the choices and the incoming rage would be delicious

Still, with corporate intervention barred from the donation drive, our two biggest competitors are no longer a real threat. It’s pretty much just us and Smash at this point, which I find especially ironic, because even if FiM didn’t exist, a prominent FGC game’s community wouldn’t beat Smash’s community in a fair fight.
No one who attends has ever cared what the competition is in, its about winning, and showing up your opponents. When Marn was at the League of Legends tournament, the FGC section were popping off and hyping it up so much when Team MRN got its first kill, after the enemy had 20 or so. That’s why the Riot team love us. Stream monsters might cry, but anyone at Evo will just hype up anything.
The most important thing is that Ultra David will be drowning in salt, whilst James Chen explodes over mix-ups and swag combos and presumbably Rarity.
