As long as they have one character with Rarity’s moveset I’ll be happy with whatever they do if they make a new game.

Looks like Fighting is Magic is one of the games up for the Game Donation Drive for EVO 2013.
With the money going toward the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and “Brony’s” being know for raise absurd amounts of money for good causes.
There’s a damn good chance for the game to be the 8 game at EVO…

The only thing I can imagine though, even though its for a good cause, would the community care enough for some pony fighting game to donate towards the cause :o
Still, that aside, hope this makes it, if not, I least hope either Skullgirls or failing that, SFIII3SOE

Once I’ve heard the news about MLP: Fighting is Magic was one of the (possibly) chosen games to be featured for the EVO lineup, I was highly surprised that this fighter would even be seen in any majors; let alone tournaments in general. It caught me by surprise sure, but afterwards, I was overwhelmed with high spirits to see Fighting is Magic was on that list of player’s choice poll. Not only I’m hoping for the best for Fighting is Magic, but for other fighting games as well.
The hate was strong originally, but will be stronger if successful.
Is there any progress bar on which game is winning so far?
I’m curious to see how the game is doing… more specifically, MLP ;o

I want FiM to win just so I can hear the droves of butthurt people. Seriously, any time MLP and the FGC mix outside of this thread or other Fighting is Magic stuff it’s nothing but FGC people crying and just being douches.

While I don’t doubt that MrWiz and Mane 6 has had contact about this, some official word from Mane 6 would be nice. Hopefully this is the motivation they need to get it done in time (main character only roster). They’re almost there already.
This should be very interesting, to say the least. I love many of the games on the bubble spot, and outside this one, really hope that VF5 or the GG game at least competes with the others, in terms of donation cash. Realistically, though, this is now set up to be those sectors of the FGC v. the MLP community, a community which has many members ready and willing to throw their weight and wallets behind this game. Statements like “It’s up against some pretty heavy hitters, including the Smash Brothers games and DoA 5” do not instill me with confidence, though. Last I heard, DoA5 was dead on arrival, in terms of community support
Don’t confuse what the stupid stream monsters say with what it really happens, for them, games like P4A are dead, despite having consistent numbers on every tournament, for example
I don’t want to sound too optimistic on this, but I really do believe that Fighting is Magic is gonna make that 8th slot. So much has been put into this game as of now.
Honestly I think this will end up being a three horse race.
WB vs Sony vs Bronies.
It would be stupid for WB and Sony to not allocate some of their advertising budget to this contest. Chance to get your game featured in the most prestigious event in the country, plus the positive publicity of donating to support cancer research.
Even so, I like our chances.

I don’t get the appeal of the show. It’s well animated in Flash but yeah, I don’t get the fandom.

Yeah, love those. But the sequels never matched that first one, sadly.
For maximum chance of catching the pony bug (if you’d like to), watch more than just the first 2 eps (ep 2 especially is kinda sucky imo) or better yet start with one of the famous(or infamous) episodes like Party of One or Lesson Zero.
