MLP: Fighting Is Magic - A Fighting game for manly men only (New characters from MLP creator?!)

Pretty cool episode

Spoiler

I enjoyed all of the little season 1 throwbacks that they included. I felt it ended a little anti-climatically (maybe just because the last duel was mostly one-sided) and still feels like it leaves Trixie’s future open. Although I’m glad they gave the event a little closure with her apology, I might have preferred it if Trixie still showed some interest in besting Twilight one day, without an artifact crutch. Also an interesting role for Zecora, I didn’t think she knew about actual magic beyond her herbs and potions.

-Fluttershy has Color of the Conquering King Haki (The Stare)
-Pinkie Pie has Color of Observation Haki (Pinkie Sense)
-Rainbow Dash has Color of Armaments Haki (:frowning: …those poor trees)

I was sitting here thinking that the Trixie rematch episode was the best one of the season by far (and possibly one of the top ten of the series for the Fluttershy moments alone)… but then I got blindsided by a Scootaloo episode.

She’s so adorable that it hurts, with her little scooter and her 1000FPM (flaps per minute) wings.

More trixie, damnitt!

My sentiments on this weeks episode were pretty much exactly what Duckie said.
Still not sure which episode I enjoyed more TBH, though both were top shelf.

I was talking to one of my friends about these episodes too, and I really like that they’re exploring some of the ideas they wanted to play with after season 1 (but season 2 was already written).
I do recall reading somewhere that there were plans to give Zecora some kind of role as Twilight’s mentor, did that last week.
Then there were Faust’s somewhat infamous comments about how if Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo were related, Dash would be a lousy older sister.

I like the way that was handled this week. Rainbow Dash spends a majority of the episode totally oblivious to the kid’s needs, but in the end shows her some love and does right by Scootaloo.

Spoiler

Also, Princess Luna on some Freddy Krueger shit. Luna is best princess.

Looks like a new bite-sized updatefrom the devteam! Menu updates include some really cool features that I wasn’t sure would be ultimately implemented. Definitely glad to see stage selection before the match appears to be a go (and looking snazzy to boot!). Thanks for the update!

As far as the show goes, I think I enjoyed Scootaloo’s episode more than Trixie’s, surprisingly. It’s rare that an episode renews my faith in Dash being a decent friend after how many times she’s come across as a bit of a jerk throughout seasons 2 and 3 thus far.

New episode is out in the wild.

[details=Spoiler]Ugh Spitfire’s voice. Why didn’t they use the same voice she had in Hurricane Fluttershy. This one just makes me want to throw shit.

The subplot of the episode with Pinkie was fun. Pinkie is so zany this season.

Also, Lightning Dust. Bitch plays to win.[/details]

Good, all the way solid ep. Liked it a lot.
These last three eps have really rekindled my pony spark, good stuff.

So far, this entire season has been really damn good.

[details=Spoiler]I was surprised about the episode leak but I watched it anyway. Though I wonder what’s gonna happen now that Dash is, more-or-less, a Wonderbolt now?

I wouldn’t have noticed the change in Spitfire’s voice if I hadn’t read CanadianDstryr’s spoilers, which is how I found out about the episode leak in the first place.[/details]

Son of a bitch. Reddit’s episode guide was taken down.

Somebody PM me some good links where I can watch der ponies.

[details=Spoiler]I’m just confused by the whole Spitfire voice thing. I don’t understand how they can’t just schedule a date for Maryke Hendrickse to punch out a couple of lines one day, and get the Spitfire stuff out of the way. The poor filly is starting to have more voices than Bon Bon, here.

All told, I was pretty satisfied with this episode. Granted, the moment I saw Williams’s name there, I didn’t really go into the episode with any expectations whatsoever, so my enjoyment was much improved by that. Really, the only thing that irked me, writing-wise was Pinkie Pie, whose depth, it felt like, was sacrificed for the sake of a sting of dumb gags.

I definitely liked the part where Fluttershy forgot she could fly, and had to be rescued by Cloudchaser.[/details]

[details=Spoiler]I don’t know if you could say she’s a Wonderbolt, but she’s definitely one step closer to her goal.
Its weird, the Wonderbolts are pretty much equal parts military force and sports organization. Once she actually finishes training camp with the Wonderbolts, who knows what they’re going to do with her.[/details]

What’s wrong with YouTube?

Nothing, except that you have to know where the episodes are, and the good ones aren’t publicly listed on Youtube.

Spoiler

Pinkie really, REALLY needs to learn how to use text messaging. Also, Fluttershy doesn’t NEARLY have the skills to recover after a direct hit from a tornado!

Other things: 1) Lightning Dust CAN’T CONTROL IT! 2) Pinkie shows why her lvl3 super does so much damage! 3) Lightning Dust alt color for Rainbow Dash? Eh? Eh? Aw…

check your pms bro :coffee:

That episode was awesome… That is all

I finally had the time to catch the last 3 episodes
So far the season has been solid, i have to say that i didn’t liked much the new spitfire voice

Really?? Hell, for the last three weeks I’ve been watching every ep on there. I just went there and typed in the ep name, and BOOM, was watching in each case in under a minute.

Seriously, I’ve been doing this since S2. Give it about an hour or two after it airs and it’ll be up.
