cards almost sweep the dodgers cubs almost get swept by the dodgers lol
Poor Mets. They nearly come back until they get owned by an unassisted triple play to end the game. How can it get any worse for them?
play the cardinals game 7 nlcs
how good was smoltz today? Players come to the cardinals to blossom real talk.
Oh and carpenter lowers his whip and era the other day :looney: while picking up his 14 cough cy young cough
smoltz looked really good so glad he got picked up &dirt cheap lol hang your heads in shame cubbies. the cards are going back to the world series
It didn’t hurt that Smoltz was facing a Triple-A lineup.
Carpenter’s gaining on Lincecum. The Giants ace has hit a rough patch. If Carpenter keeps dominating this Cy Young race is going to get very interesting.
The Rockies are only 3 back in the loss column in the NL West. Since June 1st when they were in last place behind San Diego and Arizona they’ve gone 50-24. Absolutely amazing. Jim Tracy is a lock for NL manager of the year.
I never thought I’d see a day where The Rockies and Nuggets were the sports talk of the town, while the Broncos and Avs are both in shambles…but that day has arrived.
The Rockies are going to be just as dangerous in the postseason this year as they were in 2007, granted they make it.
Another great win by the Rockies. They’re 3 games behind the Dodgers in the NL West. Guess who the Rockies play at home in a 3 game series? The Dodgers.
Rocktober, volume 2. Never been a huge fan of the Rox (or the National League in general), but I’ll be pulling for them.
(I just want to go to Denver for a championship celebration, now that I’m old enough to drink.)
Santana out for the season. I guess the only way it still gets worse if say, David Wright’s concussion is career ending…
Make that 2 games behind the Dodgers in the NL West.
Now the Rockies are 4 games behind the Dodgers. LA showed they they’re still the Best in the West.
The MLB trade deadline is a joke. Since this so called deadline Aubrey Huff, Pudge Rodriguez, Billy Wagner have all been traded. Now Kazmir’s also going to be traded.
Don’t see how it’s a joke. It’s been this way for a while now, and i see nothing wrong with it at all. I see it as a good thing actually.
Why even have a trade deadline? I know that it’s technically the non-waiver trade deadline or something but it’s just odd to me to see a bunch of players traded after a trade deadline has passed.
pujols bottom of the 9th walk of home run ! gotta love it
Adam Lund does it again!
Every divisional leader is ahead by at least 5 games. It seems like the only things worth watching for now are the Wild Card battles between the Rockies and Giants in the NL and the Rangers and Red Sox in the AL.
The Red Sox have a much easier schedule than the Rangers so that should be enough to keep them ahead. 4 out of their last 5 series are against the Orioles, Blue Jays, Royals, and Indians. Outside of 2 series with Oakland and one with Cleveland the Rangers have a very tough schedule this month.
The Giants have a tough block of games against the Rockies and Dodgers from the 11th to the 20th that could make or break their season. If they can get a lead in the division or wild card by then I think they’ll be ok. They finish the season with 2 series against the Diamondbacks, and 1 series each against the Cubs and Padres.
Jose Contreras looked pretty sharp in his Rockies debut.
The trend of AL Pitchers showing up in the NL and immediately dominating looks to be continued…
Ozzie Guillen on Alex Rios: "What have I seen from Rios? A lot of outs. The only batting ninth guy making $5 million was me. This mother [bleeper] is making $10, $12, $14 million, he ain’t going to be batting ninth [in 2010]. I’m going to make sure he earns his money. But right now I have to put him there because he’s struggling. Next year, if we have Rios batting ninth we’re in deep [crap] once again.’’
Words can’t explain how much i love the OZ.
ahaha I can’t beleive he said “this mother fucker” lmao
