Kevin Gregg gives up 2 home runs in the bottom of the 9th on consecutive pitches to lose the game. Unbelievable.
Freddy Sanchez coming up big today. Hopefully he can make a real impact on the Giants offense.
What’s a “cycle”? Article says something about Cabrera and a cycle? Never heard this term before. I expect to get flamed, but I really don’t care, I’d just like to know
Hitting a single, a double, a triple and a home run in the same game.
Typical bandwagon Yankees fan…
imo.
The Angels owned the Twins 13-4.
There are quite a few people in here who know more about baseball than me, but none of them will tell you I’m a typical bandwagon fan. That’s a pretty…ignorant assumption actually. Or do I need to link you to my myspace/facebook where my profile says I’ve been a fan since birth, am from NY, and have a tattoo on my arm w/them, and blew my savings last year to see them at their last series against Boston?
You have no idea what you’re talking about, don’t assume w/out knowing the facts, it makes you sound/look stupid.
SRK just gets worse by the day…
Yeah…it does.
I don’t understand how you can be a baseball fan for even over one year and not know what a cycle is. It’s so ludicrous that I just automatically assume you’re trolling now because no one in real life is like this.
Or, there are people afraid to ask questions because of people like you and I am Lothar? There are plenty of “fans” of sports that don’t know every single microscopic detail, yet it’s known on SRK, don’t ask questions because people will flame you right away. So yes, if you actually go out in the world more, there are plenty of hardcore fans that don’t know every detail. It’s not like it happens that often for people to know.
lol What’s a perfect game guys? I heard a guy named Mark Buehrle had one, but I don’t know how he could go bowling and then play a baseball game in the same day?
Yet it’s not a microscopic detail.
You describe yourself as a hardcore fan, with tattoos and going to NY to watch games yet you don’t know a fairly common term. That’s why Lothar called you a typical Yankee fan, a lot of Yankee fans, just like Lakers fans, don’t actually know a lot about the game, and aren’t “real” fans but posers. Not calling you a poser btw, just letting you know that that’s what a lot of people see some Yankee fans as and that you sometimes fall into that description.
Also, I don’t see why you would ask a question like that if you already knew you were going to get flamed, why not look it up? it woulda been quicker and easier. just saying.
There’s no way this guy could be a 2003 SRK member. Calling someone a “bandwagon fan” is not flaming especially when the label is plenty accurate.
imo.
Cycle is a common baseball term. Just google it next time, especially since you knew you were going to get flamed and even said you were. What are you? One of the 2k9 folks?
Geez not this thread too. Let’s get back on track.
While no one was looking the Angels now have the best record in the American League. You wouldn’t know it by taking a quick glance at their starting lineup but the Angels lead all of baseball in runs scored. And that’s with Vladimir Guerrero having his worst season. Pitching has been an issue with them but the talent’s there with Lackey, Weaver, Santana, and Saunders.
Yeah, well, let’s see how much all that means for the Angels if they meet the Red Sox in the playoffs again. That doesn’t seem to work well for them.
if only the yankees got to play texas/seattle/oakland instead of red sox/tampa/toronto/baltimore
they might have the best record!!!
YO SIGLEY.
HOW BOUT DEM INDIANS??!?!!11
LOL!
imo.
they’ll still win it somehow
too bad they traded away their entire team because they were just starting to get hot and everyone knows that is all that matters
lee, pavano 2 man rotation in playoffs would of been nice
i think the indians bullpen has 97 blown saves this year which helped their downfall. i knew it was over when the pen blew a 10 run lead or something ridiculous to the brewers a month or so back
The Sox and Rays are excellent teams but the Rangers and Mariners are good teams. The Blue Jays aren’t very good and the Orioles are always bad and this season the Athletics have not played well.
The Yankees play in a tougher division but the AL West isn’t exactly chopped liver.
should of just pointed out the angels have a losing record against the AL West
unbelievable!!!
yanks do dominate the cent/west though, just suck against the east.
OMG, Brian Matusz to debut Tuesday. I didn’t think I’d see him at all this season. So hyped for all these O’s call ups. Of course Berken could stand a bit more time in AAA, but the others have been somewhat solid. Here’s to hoping Reimold gets ROY. Go O’s.
