This could be the move that potentially gets the Dodgers a World Championship.
damn just legalize the shit so i can get ball games wit a gazillion homeruns.
Fuck, George Sherril was on my fantasy team too which means no more saves… had to settle for Jim Johnson who looks like he’ll be the interim closer arg.
So let me get this straight…
The Patriots win 3 superbowls but they cheated.
The Red Sox win 2 rings but they cheated.
The Celtics got ref help (until Game 6).
Who’s got shit on the Bruins? Let’s make it a quartet in Cheat nation!
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:
Unless the Dodgers get Halladay crosses fingers and knocks on wood the National League is ours. WORLD FUCKING CHAMPIONS, BITCHES!
daaamn, no more Sherril. I guess Jim Johnson will get most of the save opportunities now as Night has stated. At least JJ has been looking like his old self as of late so I’m not too worried. Seems the deal on the O’s part is rated pretty high.
I also see that 2 of the players are 3B. Which means they can dump Mora’s ass after this season.
Tigers had been quiet up to the trade deadline so this isn’t a shock considering they’re in contention for the AL Central. I’m somewhat surprised it wasn’t the Yankees getting Washburn given that Wang is out. Also, Austin Jackson alert for CF.
Some guys to keep an eye on for trade deadline: Heath Bell, Halladay probably won’t be traded this year at this rate, Red Sox are still looking at trades for Vmart, Jays still shopping around Scutaro and company. A’s always a threat to make another deal.
Wang being out is an improvement in itself.
I don’t know what the Indians are doing.
The Red Sox still have the pieces to get Roy Halladay.
LaRoche is back with the Braves after being traded for Kotchman? WTF? Wasn’t expecting that one.
The Red Sox save a ton of money going with LaRoche from Kotchman. He’s also more willing to play part-time.
The Braves are trying to benefit from the annual Adam LaRoche second-half surge. Pitching-wise they’re good. If the offense comes to play they’ve as much of a chance of any at winning the NL Wild Card.
I know the Yankees spent a ton of money in the offseason on Burnett, CC, and Texeira and so far all of those moves have worked well for them but the best player they get at the trade deadline is Jerry Hairston Jr? Maybe this year less is more.
The Blue Jays traded Rolen and kept Halladay? It’s a good trade for them. Scott Rolen was the ultimate sell-high player.
Jake Peavy is coming to the White Sox. I knew Ken Williams had something up his sleeve.
+1 My uncle and I are in constant arguments w/him favoring Wang and me not seeing the same 2007 Wang anymore.
Some sites that I read that are good MLB reads.

prolly shoulda posted this one before todays deadline lol
http://www.fangraphs.com/
a ton of good info on this site.
This is an awesome site, that mainly has blogs for mostly every team in all the major sports, just scroll down and look up your team(s). Each blog is run by their own fans so some are very very good, and some that the teams aren’t as popular prolly arent the best, but should still provide some decent material.
White sox going for the sweep tmrw, Buehrle v. Sabathia , ace v ace.
This feels good after losing 3 of 4 to the Tigers and getting swept by the Twins.
After some time to think about it, I feel very good about the Peavy trade too.
Buehrle, Peavy, Danks, Floyd = best 1-4 pitching staff in baseball? We’ve got some good options for our 5th spot too.
We got all these guys locked up until 2012 too when Buehrle’s contract is up, he says he is going to retire after this contract, we’ll see.
Fuck Kevin Gregg. That is all.
Edit: I’m glad the Cubs pulled it out, but fucking hell. It never should have gone to extras. :annoy:
Cliff Lee dominated.
Matt Holliday dominating.
So far the biggest players traded are doing what they were acquired to do.
This doesn’t feel good if you’re a Yankees fan:(
