MLB (Baseball) 2009 (including fantasy leagues)

Nobody loves them? :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s nice to see a sweep, however I did get nervous when BJ came in, I have no faith in him right now. I would say we could sweep the Nats, however they just took 2 of 3 from the Yankees, so I’ll cut them some slack.

In VERY bad news, in an interview with the Jays Assistant GM on the FAN yesterday, it seems like they aren’t too sure if McGowan will ever come back, and he may be done. This is really sad news since McGowan had really nasty stuff and was getting closer to figuring it out.

Ugh anyone but Ibanez on the DL.

Wheres Wright’s power this season? And why does Pujols have like 10 steals?

No. Don’t give the nats any form of credit at all. The Yankees played extremely lazy. They are not good enough to hold their jockstraps, Yankees just choked. Nats are awful, whoever your team is, should win.

!!!

Seriously!?! I haven’t seen this anywhere yet, you mean he’s like done this season or like his-career-is-over-done?

There’s no faith with the 3 bad contracts we got .

I’ll sum it up:

Panic. Fear. Doubt. Horror. Worry.

My uncle and I keep having a debate on whether he’s good or not. He’s not in 2007 form where he won 19 games and the Yankees playing like ass for 3 days and letting the HORRIBLE Nationals win 2 out of 3, unacceptable.

This question is really for the Toronto fans. Should the Jays get rid of Riccardi? Honestly, this man could have had Lincecum for Rios. Lincecum is only making $650k this year compared to Rios’ $6,400,000. Halladay and Lincecum back to back would have been beastly. I’d rather have that duo than Sabathia and Burnett or Beckett and Lester.

Hill, Lind and Scutaro are this team’s core. JP has to get something for Wells and Rios before it’s too late.

If Marco Scutaro is a core part of your team you are in trouble. He’s having a career year and is 33 years old. Don’t expect him to keep this up for years to come.

Since when was this the Toronto Blue Jays thread? That’s all you guys talk about. They’re an average team. They win their 83 or so games every year and then go quietly into the night. When’s the last time they were a serious contender? 1993?

B/C Blue Jay’s fans are the only fans that post. Unless you want to hear me and Purple rambo and the M’s. What do you want to talk about Yanks vs Red Sox? Please don’t!

I’m pretty sure the deal was Cain for Rios

Haha, so true, it seems the last few pages have been about Toronto, wtf

Magglio being benched is crazy, he’s having a slowish start but I still can’t believe it.

Why not? The Yankees and Red Sox are the 2 best teams in the American League. Jason Bay and Mark Texeira are battling neck and neck for the MVP award. The Yankees haven’t won yet against the Sox but that’s just due to variance. They’ll get more than a couple of wins before the season is over.

Roy Halladay is 32, having a career year and a core part of our team. I think he’ll keep it up for years to come, I hope I do too so I can impregnate lots of bitches.

Eh, you must not know what “career year” means.

But ok, Scutaro is a big piece for your team if you say so.

Nah there were talks for Lincecum.

Dodgers are ballin. Where the fans at?:wgrin:

The trade on the table was Rios for Lincecum. The Giants turned it down…which was a pretty good non-trade for them it turned out. Giants tried to get JP to take Cain instead, but then Jays turned it down. I don’t think you can criticize JP for that one.

I wouldn’t shed any tears if he left, but a lot of the popular criticisms are unwarranted and stupid, just what you expect from Toronto fans.

I know it’s a little early to be looking towards October, but I think we might be getting a World Series preview with Dodgers/Angels.

Unless the Mariners magically turn into their 2001 selves, I doubt my team will be doing anything around that time. I wouldn’t mind another all-California World Series, after how thrilling 2002 Giants/Angels was.

As in, his career is over.

Here’s a link to where I found it, which it also has a link to the FAN interview with the Assistant GM.

The Angels whenever they get into the playoffs, they just seem to not do as well as they do during the season. Being my favorite baseball team, I hope for them to go to the world series this year. A Dodgers/Angels final series in my opinion be one of the best baseball as seen.
