I’m glad to see Washington win something for once…I’ve split my life between here in Colorado, and back up there in Olympia. I never really cared for the Sonics or Seahawks, or really UW at all, but I’ve been a lifelong Mariners fan (had relatives in WA, we didn’t have the Rockies 'till 93).
I was up there last year for the worst possible year a region could have in sports, and I felt for all the people who actually cared. 100+ loss season for the M’s, winless UW Football season, Sonics move, Seahawks suck dick…it was just amazing how BAD it all was.
(Well, the Seahawks sucking didn’t bother me. Old AFC west rivalries don’t die easy)
