anyone else feel that this game needs to be right below mvc3 on the forums, with character specific forums, sure these forums were mainly for capcom fighting games but it SHOULD be expanded upon

Do we know how many buttons this game is going to require yet? I would assume 5 (4 attacks and a block) but I could be wrong.
Could be six since I remember hearing one of the devs mentioning that throw has its own button, but that was pretty old. No idea if that still rings true now. However, it has been confirmed that 4 attacks (Front/Rear Punch/Kick) and block are in.
I think it’s gonna be 5, but it would be cool to just use 4 and then have 3+4 as block (sorry if the notation is wrong, I’m just assuming they’re the same as Tekken’s). I’ll likely play this on pad, 'cause it’s a bit of a pain using my little finger for blocking. But we’ll see how it goes, I guess.

In the IGN article there is currently no plans for a 360 exclusive character according to Boon.
So far we have 21 characters announced, 22 if Goro is indeed playable without DLC or unlock purposes. If the character select screen is right there is slots for 26 characters total (Excluding the random and DLC slots).

So my final three picks are safe picks: Raiden, Kano, Shang Tsung. If Goro isn’t playable Kabal, Baraka, Smoke, or Noob Saibot for the last.
I’d personally like to see Kenshi return, but I’m sure there will be a shit ton of DLC characters coming.

No evidence of Sheeva yet outisde of the Boon tweet mentioned in first post, right? I’m all for Sheeva returning, she’s cool. And imagine trolling scrubs online with her stomp move.
I’m also in favour of Sheeva (since I think I heard that Goro was unplayable? not sure.)
Personally, I’d like to see Frost make a comeback, but somehow, I don’t think she’s high on the dlc list.
Kano, Kabal & Smoke are coming. Sheeva is in the game, but not sure if she’ll be playable. We’ll see. Quan Chi & Noob are also strong possibilities. Goro wont be playable, same with Shao Kahn. Still waiting for some info on Shang Tsung and Raiden.
Most DLC i think we might see would be characters from MK4 (Tanya, Jarek, Quan, Fujin, Reiko, Kai & Shinnok). Only character past that I could even imagine would be Bo Rai Cho.
Now as for making MK9 its own sub forum, PM Mr Wizard, tell him i am down with it and go from there. 
The 360 will get an exclusive character. 1) notice how all the boxarts for MK9 are the PS3 version 2) Some guy on GAF said so, and we all know how reliable they are.
I’d love a real sub forum for MK9 but honestly if Blazblue, Tekken and KOF can’t even get one, and they’re games that already have a fanbase, I don’t really know what our chances are. IMO Tim if anything can come from it I think you storms and the other top dogs would be better off talking to Wiz about it.
I just saw SuX-Play a few minutes ago and they showed Sonya gameplay during the Ed Boon interview.
Her Leg Wrap Neckbreaker followed by her head slam skull breaker X-Ray move looks pretty cool.
That’s the one that was shown today on G4.

MK has the potential to have a way larger fanbase than any of those games. MK was huge and still has a ton of appeal if the game is done right. I think it deserves a proper forum on SRK especially with it appearing at Evo this year. BlazBlue, and Tekken forums are already handled elsewhere (Dustloop, Zaibatsu) and are not needed.
