yea, i got caught in a CPU infinite with those damned hammers. i was standing too close, and i never recovered. he just kept throwing hammers while taunting after every 2 or 3.
i almost broke my arcade stick
two things: there is not nearly enough activity here to warrant a whole forum section for MK
- shao khan was annoying, but fireballs from full screen, jump his hammers, duck his spears, and kick him when he taunts = win

Well my second main is Ermac now. Already getting tag shenanigans down.
The way I always beat Shao Khan, even on expert, is to constantly jump over and uppercut him. He will constantly try to anti-air you with either the shoulder uppercut or hammer uppercut, both of which whiff. If he does the shadow shoulder just over him again until he does the hammer, in which you uppercut (or combo if you’re feeling fancy, but normally they knock him too far away or don’t allow you proper time to jump over his AA again, so don’t bother)
Sometimes he’ll do something else, like do a punch or kick, which can be punished by uppercut anyways. The only way he gets out of this is the forward shadow shoulder, which just gets him some distance and requires you to get close to him again which usually isn’t a big deal. I usually do 60% or more damage to him before he decides to use the foward shoulder even once.
The developers became obsessive with her since Deception. It probably has to do with her being slutty.
Kitana dresses just as slutty, and doesn’t have fangs. I seriously don’t get the treatment of Mileena as a sex symbol.
Because while the others dress slutty, Mileena does it above the rest. I remember one of her alts from I think MKD had her pic with her tits only covered by her sais. Plus look at how she acts when she wins a round.
IIRC somewhere it said that since Kitana is obviously more attractive than Mileena, Mileena acts slutty to make up for her “weakness”.

Dunno. All I recall is that she was in a Playboy magazine once, and they may be taking advantage of that and making her more like a sex symbol.
I wouldn’t call her slutty. She’s just crazy and sadistic. Unless you are using slutty as a very loose term.
I just got the game, and went right into training mode to try some characters.
I spent quite a lot of time with Jade, but for the love of God, I can’t pull off a double Shadow Kick without having to seriously hurt my thumb (I play on D-pad). I found out that you can do her second consecutive Shadow Kick without inputting Circle, but I feel like it only works about half of the time. Tips?
By the way, what’s been enhanced in EX Shadow Flash?
I believe Enh. Shadow Flash gives her super armor as well.
Johnny Cage is nuts IMO. Shadow Flip Kick is pretty safe so his wake up game is pretty great. Although his slide kick is punishable on block it is pretty fast so it is sneaky and helps get the opponent to the corner where he is a monster. He can do almost 40% in the corner off of an overhead (which is +1 on block) with no meter. His BnB’s are pretty simple and again push the opponent into the corner quickly. His XRay move although a counter does great damage and can be followed up. His projectile really isn’t that bad at all either I feel like it is pretty good.
I feel he can do everything well and some things great (especially in the corner). Once he gets his offense going it can be hard to stop him if you mix it up well enough because a lot of his best shit is safe on block (and sometime + on block)
