Can’t read? Either way it doesn’t matter, this block button is harder for beginners because you can’t mash out attacks when blocking, that’s all. But the good part is at least you can use sweep when someone is stand blocking or an overhead attack when someone is crouch blocking. Either way cross up doesn’t really matter, then again who would want it if Scorpion could teleport behind you.

You can juggle off of Scorp’s regular jump kick…:slight_smile:

You can juggle off of anybody’s jumping kick and start a combo off of anybody’s jumping punch. That doesn’t make it safe.

I had that happen to me a couple days ago. I’m guessing the devs have seen it and removed it by now.

Similar thing happens with Scorpion too.

It would be faster to find big damage combos without AI in ladder mode but still, combos can go beyond 50%. Most idiots show a thousand combos instead of just the one that counts.

You could swap X-ray for leaping grab for a good 39% no meter no corner.
Or you if there is a dagger from back triangle move you can swap forward X and leap for 41% no meter no corner.

Ground pop up combo is really strong very easy to use and almost impossible to mess up but unlike other characters Mileena can’t combo off of projectiles or teleport. Also has a double sweep move that helps land the pop up combo. Leaping grab is good for getting close range safe after block.

In the corner you can use ^XO combo instead of XO and go over 51%. But those are two different combos and XO has much better range and will most likely combo if you pop up far or point blank.

At any rate, it didn’t need its own thread; thread starters are for opening a discussion, yet a single combo doesn’t leave much. And while i’m off on a tangent, try to learn fighting game notation. It will seriously help you when trying to read through this site (or any other site) and it looks a whole lot better when you write it.

I tried that combo, it’s worthless. You have to be point blank close range to the point you dash under them. My combo can be anywhere as long as the first hit works 51% no corner. More practical and easy to use that you’ll be seeing in real matches all the time.

Anybody else notice that you can hold Sub’s Xray for a limited time? Or am I late?

so is this not on xbox yet? i read a few pages back that it would come out on the 22nd. am i to assume that it is now the 29th?

Not going to be on the xbox, demo that is. The ending trailer shows a bit of Kratos so that’s probably why.

Like it matters, but just saying some combos are practical and others are worthless. Regardless it’s going to be faster to find out in the real game practice mode instead of ladder mode with AI. Not like it’s some crappy MvC3 game where it takes god knows how long to make up your mind with strong combos.

Wow… just played the demo for the first time. I really hope MK9 is here to stay (in the competitive community)

Some of the combos dont work in final build. All wake up moves have full invincibility, thus making some combos not practical like the corner sub combo with ex ground freeze
