I’d rather have it at 60/25/15 than 60/30/10 like some people modify it.

In the SF4 tournament since PS3 is the standard, PS3 has priority in preference. Otherwise I’m just hoping people are willing to let people borrow sticks for their matches.
If I just tried to do this on PS3 chances are I won’t be able to finish it.

Yeah it’s gonna suck for someone to pay 10$ to get into some half assed Tojo ball riders convention then pay another 10$ to enter the tournament which is the only reason to show up at that place only to find out that they can’t play the dude he’s matched up against cause he has a different console for his stick thus wasting 20$ and a good amount of his time.
If you match up against someone that wants to use the PS3, the PS3 has priority. The Xbox 306 is encouraged cuz there is always a lack of PS3s at tournaments.

Well then if your not expecting there to be enough PS3’s then might as well make it a 360 tournament IMO. I wouldn’t want to wait for the people ahead of me to finish their match on the only couple of PS3’s there. Meanwhile there’s a bunch of XBOX’s not being used. And to be honest i’ve been seeing a lot more 360 tournaments than PS3.

Ok, 1 and 3 are wrong, I’ve been running tournaments for years and never have I seen something silly like 60/25/15. 3rd place ALWAYS gets 10%. Find me a major tournament where it was more than 10%. Turliz (xtian) has been to countless tournaments of mine w/out all this confusion.
2, he shouldn’t be “yelling” at you in the first place, considering he’s completely wrong on the prize structure. Stick to your guns when you know you are right. It’s either 70/20 or 60/30. This may seem like nitpicking, but convince the top 3 about 60/25/15 and you are bound to get a complaint out of one of them, especially if it’s a big tournament (hopefully it is).
There seems to be quite a lot of confusion on systems also. SF4 should be PS3 standard, period. Some people have it on 360, which is cool for them, but don’t change a tourney standard to please locals. If you’re short on PS3s, I’ll bring mine and I’m sure I can get sa_rob (sc4 player) to bring his also. I think CW is coming so that should be another PS3. First couple of SC4 tournaments ran at gamelot, we ran into the problem of people waiting around cause somebody HAD to play on 360 vs PS3. If you don’t offer it, there will be no confusion and your life will be easier.
The owner is pretty greedy, doesn’t seem to know what he’s doing but hey, if SC4 is there, that’s free money for me so I’m there. Wacky prize structure and random venue fees is getting shady.
