Hey Mixup you got any decent Sent fly combos with Colossus’ AAA?

All I got so far is:

Launch, sj.RP(jap), fly+lk+assist, RP(fp), fly u/f, [Colossus hits], lp, lp, RP(fp). It does like 132 pts on Cable, but I know there has to be something more powerful than that. You got any ideas?

jesus christ thats a beastly combo, the only thing i can think of to add to that, is using a lp, unfly fp at the end of the combo to set-up unblockable

or

reset with aithrow/cross-up/high low game as they come down

Hmm…I’ve never thought about trying that. Although I don’t use Sentinal alot, I just got bored and fucked around with him a little. I’m not that good with him.

Whats the priority on Cyc’s df+hk? It gets beat by somethings like Psy jumpin early fierce…

It always at least trades if not beats storm/mag j.fp if you do it early enough, if you already have a j.fp already near your face when cyke’s leg just starts kicking up you lost. Depends on the timing on both attacks. Overall I’d say jab gene splice is better AA unless you’re doing a crossup launch, just make sure you don’t mash punch while gene splicing if they block because you’ll get owned for going higher unless you got a good assist backing you.

i saw the man mike z do it himself for the first time at a tournament … nasty nasty stuff… and his tron is not to be messed with…mashing for 20 some hits…absolutely insane

I wanna know a bit more about priority like mag’s air jab vs his air short. When is a good time to use his jab in the air and against who. I noticed storm floating down slow spamming shorts is GOOD against sent and can combo into LA xx LS. Also ive seen several good players use storms blind lighting attacks against a char thats above them at sj height ESPECIALLY in the corner. Example storms coming down mag superjumps and right when storm goes off screen blind lighting attack xx lighting storm.

dunno if yall have seen this… but… if u lose it the technical way and afterwards catch someone in an air combo (not just blocked) u also regain unfly… but only for combo purposes… if u try ta stomp rush with unfly it wont work… hella wierd…

does cable have a wierd unfly or something? cuz alot of times i catch peeps in a ahvb i can get a fp animation before touchin ground…

I’ve been checking all over these forums to see if anyone discussed that topic on Cable and didn’t find much of anything yet. Well, I’ll share my input on this. I don’t know what the deal is with Cable but you’re correct about the extra attack after pulling off an AHVB. You can actually make him pull out any other normal attack but only his jab and short come out fully to score an actual hit. His Fierce doesn’t get the bullet out in time and his Roundhouse doesn’t extend fully.

I wouldn’t say it’s some sort of unfly that he has since he still can’t block on the way down, but maybe some sort of glitch. I’m thinking that the game engine is believing that Cable is already on the ground when he really isn’t. The frame window is like 3 frames or so and he can only pull out an extra attack before he lands within that time frame and it doesn’t work with normal jump AHVB. When you do it correctly, you’ll notice a little pause he does before actually landing. It’s been asked also if he can get off 2 AHVB’s while still in the air. Unfortunately, I don’t believe he can for the simple fact that the time it takes for you to get off his extra attack and cancel into his super will virtually never be fast enough as humanly possible. Remember, we’re talking 3 frames here. Timing is crucial but when I’ve been testing it out, I find it helpful to either hold up or tap up and attack after the AHVB ends to try and pull out his extra attack. I can get it to work half the time. You can be very high in the air or close to the ground, as long as you’re tiger-kneeing or super-jumping.

Hope this helps. Does anyone else have any input on this? I wanna’ know what others think.:slight_smile:

I can’t view the vid because I’m at the library. What’s the setup? I was also wondering if there is anyway I can take advantage of this situation. Say I’m playing Magnus againts Santrax for example. Now I get both Sentinel and Capcom in a combo then sap them both out and kill capcom with the relaunch. Now if I used the assist 2 button to snap them out, then Storm will come onto to the screen as she normally would. But if I used the assist 1 button to do the snap back, the screen sort of scrolls over after I kill commando and Storm, or maybe it would be Sentinel will just be sitting there on the screen. Do you guys know what I’m talking about? What I can do in this situation besides just wave dashing over to storm and get all up in her junk?

the hp unblockable can be done anywhere, just launch hp/hk addf lk mp then land df hp xx rom repeat.
