Guys, I just found out that Vice Virtuoso’s dad passed away yesterday after a long battle with cancer, so please keep him and his mom in your thoughts. I don’t know if he’s still going to do his tournament next month in Hattiesburg, but I think it would mean a lot to him if as many people as possible showed up to support him.
That’s sad to hear

What’s up fellow peoples of the Sip? I live in the Biloxi area and go to Hattiesburg a bit, too. Was wondering if there’s like any kind of scene here? I’m not great at SF or any other game, though. Only been playing for around half a year. But still, it’d be cool if there were get togethers, tourneys, anything around here for me to go to and meet some peeps, run some sets, etc. Peace.
South part of MS in particular is low , I’m like around 30 minutes away from Biloxi . As far as gatherings and tournaments , well , there is a tournament coming up at Hattiesburg sometime in November , Vicevirtuoso is running it too . But as far as gatherings go and quick tournaments such as monthly weekly etc., there isn’t much . The closest you can go to in your area is sadly out of state , and that would be New Orleans . New Orleans have events usually every Friday at Dibbz .
We have weekly meet-ups in Hattiesburg these days, on Friday afternoon. PM me if you want details.

RIP. He came to a tourney in Vestavia, AL a long while back. By himself no less. I know that’s like a 12 hr drive and I respect that sort of thing a lot.

Is anyone playing KOF now that its out ? Would be nice to have some people close for optimal online play =]
I give everyone who got KOF a week before they stop playing it. Not being a troll, just thinking realistically. It’s not an easy game to play, and the difference between high level and everyone else is insanely high. The good thing about UMvC3 is so many characters are insanely broken that in at least levels the playing field.
I’m getting KOF later. Don’t have my stick right now so there’s no real point in getting it yet.
