Depends on how early in the month it would be for August. I also think October is a busy month, tournament-wise. I’m not sure if SRK still has tournament calendar after the upgrade, but I’d check there for majors.

Sorry, just saw this. I’m headed there with three people from Water Valley and Senatobia (both about 30 minutes away from Oxford). There’s a surprising amount of people repping MS at this tournament. o_o

Just got done looking over the brackets for CEO and surprisingly saw more people repping MS than I thought. Good luck to you guys this weekend.
I’d totally love to get more involved in the tournament scene, but work has been stupid busy recently (Domino’s, lawl.)
Anyways, I’ve been busting my ass with Bison in AE, and I’ve even picked up SSFIV 3DS to practice on-the-go. I really hope to be reppin’ MS sometime soon.
“Oh boy” Just now recovering from the CEO drive but IT WAS WORTH IT.
My main is Balrog and stuck with him throughout the tournament, yeah he got a few nerfs but I aint hearin that.
Got top 32 in ssfae. My pool was pretty tough. It had Marn, Yipes, and Marlin pie. I lost my first round and was SUPER salty. Then won 4 in a row against some good players,and then lost in my brackets semis to ATL_Redd, who if I had beat I would go on to face Marlin pie then Marn(I think) I was pretty close to making to the next day 
but I repp’d the SIP to the best of my Balrogs ability.
Before and after I got to play a lot of casuals, notable ones were against Arturo which I got beat 3-0 by his fei long,and Mike Ross who I beat 1-0. We only got to play one game because it was late and Alex had to close the convention center soon,but mike saw me waiting for about 20mins and said he would play one (he was on an 8 game win streak with Ken).
Everyone was really nice and friendly, It was great meeting some of the big name players and I cant wait for the next major.
Damn, sounds like it was fun. I’ve GOT to stop being part of Team “NAH” and actually start going to events. When’s the next MS tourney?

No kidding! The drive was hell, but that was probably the best tournament I’ve ever been to. Of course, it didn’t hurt that I made somewhere in the top 40 at MvC3, made a shit ton of cash doing stick mods (my partner made more!), got Harada-san to sign my tool case, and had a really hot X-23 cosplayer ask me to kiss her cheek…

Hmm, Birmingham is only three hours away. I can do that. The big problem is that I’m sick off my ass from modding for 14+ hours a day at CEO. I should know how I’m feeling by Weds.
I really want to go though, because I want another whack at you! XD
I’m thinking of hosting the next Hattiesburg tourney on August 14. Date is tentative but it’s looking like the most likely date right now.
